Which monitor is best for colour and contrast?

    Hiya

One of my LCD monitors is really old and has terrible contrast so I've decided to get something new, probably round the £100-£200 mark.

Just wanted to ask you lovely peeps what monitors you might recommend?

Looking at reviews online is making my eyes water.

    Thanks in advance

I have this one, and as far as price/value goes it's really great, beautiful vibrant colours,
just tweak brightness a bit so it doesn't blow out highlights.

I'm going to replace it sometime this year (I want more pixels D:) but it's a really really nice screen.

Thanks ikken that's great I'll probably go with Dell, I've heard they have good reliable customer support too.

    HP ZR22W S-IPS - VM626AT or HP LP2475W if you want the 24" model.

If you're from the UK, there's a seller on ebay that has many refurbish DELL monitors for a nice price, it's easy to find.

The one you're looking at has an IPS display, which is the #1 thing for an artist (IPS or PVA type). I own a Dell 2408W (I think) and it's display is lovely. It's got similar swivel abilities and more ports, which I enjoy, so comparable to what you're interested in. I'd say go for it.

Just yesterday I was looking at HP zr30w and DELL U3011 (slower and more expensive)
I have NEC 3090wqxi and would like another 30" but cheaper beside it.
A big monitor with correct colors is a great investment I think.

Anyone have any experience with the Dell U2311H? I'll mainly be using it for graphic design.
