after the great Christies auction preview another great one is coming soon here in london!
On July 13th, Sotheby's London will be holding its auction of Victorian & Edwardian Art at their New Bond Street location. Previews for the sale begin Friday, July 9th from 9:00 AM until 4:30 PM, then continue on Sunday (12-5 PM), Monday (9 AM - 4:30 PM), and finish on Tuesday, July 13th (9 AM - Noon).
the online catalogue is already available, ofc is no substitute for the real thing! so if you in london and you love art it is a must! =p
( info from http://underpaintings.blogspot.com/2...-sothebys.html ( a great art blog for those who dont know) )
Recently Kojima was ere' for the signin of ze new Peace Walker thingy, but ah missed it. Bumer!
If nandos occurs on 23rd, I reckon it'll be the evening time 7pm at Southwark. Just dont know if there are any takers. I guess there is always life drawing meets if folksa re still going to that?

I leave for sweden on saturday morning so i guess I'll have to miss this one if it's postponed til next week. There's always next time though!
Hopefully see you guys on friday at HH life drawing, if not tomorrow.
Hi Belindi - next HH session is Friday 2nd July - see http://www.mallgalleries.org.uk/index.php?pid=118
All being well, I'm in Belgium for the Kassan workshop, for July. Back in August.

Ah.. Thanks for the heads up, Dave! I guess we'll see you in august thenHave an awesome time in Belgium!
The tube strike if it goes ahead (we will know around 2pm_ starts from 7pm today and ends on friday 7pm, and with weekend tube closures, reaches into a hell 5 day blockade if the militant ultra terrorist bob crowe gets his way - strike, because we can.

Hey lovely UK people! My sister lives in Camberwell, London and I should be popping down at least once during the summer. Not sure when, but when I do it'd be brill if I could weedle myself along to do some arty jamming with you lot![]()

Wow, Molly!!!!
Huge congratulations on the twins. We haven't talked for so long that I'm totally surprised by the news.
I'll get in touch shortly via email to find out how you're getting on.
Actually, my main purpose of this post was to let everyone know that the "mixed-reality" game I've been working on, 'Gbanga Famiglia', is finally available in the U.K. (as well as Germany, Switzerland, Poland and Austria). Worldwide release to follow shortly!
The game is free to download from www.gbanga.com for iPhone and Java-based phone like Sony Ericcson and Nokia. The more players we get to sign-up the better, so your support is much appreciated!
Many thanks in advance
Chris
Need to check in here more often-looks like I've missed a chicken or two....Up for more doodle outings in the summer. I was wandering the city (as in the square mile city) late the other night and there are myriad awesome locations for night doodles, and now that it's warm it'd be a great place to get some DS/Portable laptop sketches done. Will continue to dip my head in and keep up with events

Heya, popping by to say that the BP Portrait Awards 2010 paintings are up in the NPG- check them out! some nice portraits in the bunch, esp some of the large scale paintings up

Hey Uk people. Making a visit in here to tell you all that some of us think it's a good idea for a super meet sometime soon....
No dates and no place considered yet, but any ideas welcome. If anyone sees this and has something amazing to throw down, go for it. Seeing as it's already a bit into summer i'm suggesting the middle of september.
I'll stick this up on the facebook page as well, to see if there's any response.
Also, congrats Molly!!!!!!!

indeed, another meet needs to happen its been something like a year since the last one right?
It's not actually been london for a while, that would be good, how about some time this month or next month? Or Oxford again as badger said the pitt rivers museum section is opening again, any preferences?
London would be fun, but I'm still looking forward to visiting the Pitt Rivers again -- what date did Badger propose again? End of July wasn't it?

As a lazy Londoner I'm gonna throw in my big smoke vote. There are a bunch of awesome spots around here for sketching. If we get in before the sun decides it no longer wants to come play it might be nice to hit Regents park/Camden lock/the canals as they're all fairly well connected and have some pretty bits in each.
London fer me as well, but dont mind Oxford if enough people are going there
