Hey Chis, great work on the stuff from the mind: You have some good eye from design! (I specially like the two that are posted with the bird study). Glad to see you're making use of your studies on geometrial shapes and anatomy.
Looking forward to see more on that game!

olá,first i want to say that you need to keep working your fundamentals, i like your concepts but they have some issues... otherwise keep up your good work.
I think it might fit in here, I did a self portrait this morning since I just turned 20, out of time for now to finish some paintings and studies, but in 2 weeks I'll be back.

Just one note, be careful about ellipses, there are no corners, drawing circle in this area can help you.
Anyway good drawings, keep it up!
Excellent dedication and perseverance. The pencil still lifes are looking really good.
Hey there, it's been a long time, also, CA was down for a considerable time.
Diarium: hey man, thank you a lot.
blu01: My teacher told me the same after seeing part of my homework, I'll keep an eye to those details relatable to form, but only being able to draw at night is killing me.
Molina: Thank you so much for dropping by, this means a lot coming from you, I'll continue trying harder.
In the past 2 weeks I've been working almost everyday (except sundays) for more than 12 hours, so I've been just too tired and stressed, but, yesterday
I also started a digital painting mentored by Camila Vielmond and inspired me to push myself a bit more, onto the "rough" sketches of stuff I'm working on:

Potion of full rejuvenation, moon between white dark clouds, you have some major movement
lately with your environments. Especially that 1st stage for game “Boo”, it has such a wonderful
magical feeling within. If you need to do lots of these environments, then I suggest that you get
your hand on some simple 3D software, like for example Google Sketchup, which will make
your life much more comfortable. You will pull off realistic results in a shorter amount of time,
just a suggestion anyway. I can also see that your creature imagination library got expanded,
you are smashing up some very nice concept, fully confident and majestic you are becoming.
Most probably a lot of them already explained the importance of life drawings, so you should
pursue that, and then you should do some photo and imaginary drawings/paintings. I suppose
the 70 percent referenced toward 30 percent imaginary drawing ration would be fine for you
at this point. So the point is that you do more referenced than imaginary for a while, until
you get more comfortable working from imagination. Someone also already emphasized the
importance of understanding the 3D form, and interpreting 2D flat photographs, turning
them into three dimensional, so I just wanted to remind you about that.
Judging from this very last character concept, you should do more figure studies, and
dynamic poses. Also when you get lost with colors like this, you obviously got lost with
them here, and you lose the string for the correct values, you should instantly switch
to greyscale. Just ignore the colors, do the whole character concept in
black and white, so you could get the values and the contrast right. After you can
put a color layer over the top and paint the way you wish.
You are now on a straight winning row, and your ways simply cannot go wrong.
All the best I wish you for your 20th birthday, and lot of happiness, merry Christmas,
cheerful new year.
Draw, paint and update more, the audience will never get enough of your beauty.
LtPlissken: I would like to thank you for taking your time to leave such a great reply on my sketchbook thread,
it made my day much brighter after the recent changes in my life that took action today. Again, I know there are loads of problemas, but I know I'll fix them, doesn't matter if takes days or years, I know I can. About the "figures" I didn't pay attention to their anatomy cause I was just interested in the clothing flow toward certain forms of the body, since I would only have 1 day to spend refining this art for a contest by Wacom Brazil (Image 01). By the way, Letha is my character and I created her to represent oblivion, renew, a new life or death, that's why the colors contrast to her horns, purity towards evil, natural balance of life.
Also some exercises from my first digital painting class, all of them were done in less than 35 minutes, the teacher wanted me to become more confident regarding blocking the forms and colors and making me get loose brushstrokes (Image 02).

Nice digital landscapes! i like your pencil sketches very much.
ps. try drawing trees more. I LOVE THE HOBBIT HOLE PAINT, but the tree isn't realistic enough.
Great progress overall!
Mepainter: Hey man, thank you very much, and YES, I want to work more on trees, specially now that I have new environment assignments from my mentor.
Onto the updates: exercises from the past digital painting class. I had to do more solid/geometric studies, but I've been working a lot lately and had too many headaches, so I'm changing my glasses and remedies I've been taking. Went to the hospital again.

Really nice work! thanks for stopping by my sketchbook! It means alot to me. I love seeing all the varied work and that you mix things up. It's good for keeping comfort zones at bay. My favorite works are the concept designs of Letha and the desert landscape! And as for your plans with school, holy crap that's ambitious! Rigor can wwear you out so be sure to pace yourself! owo
Hey there Momucat, thank you for stopping by and leaving such a sweet reply to my thread.
The only plan I made for this year was to devote the max amount of my free time (and time in general) to art and improving
Onto the updates: traditional and mermaid (digital).

It has been a while my lady... Hope you're ok with your schedule^^.
So, nice to see some more traditional stuff here. And about the mermaid, there isn't too much to change... Maybe you should play a little bit more with the shape of the hair, because those high curved edges sugest (just a little bit) the hair is moving in underwater situation (don't really know what is your intention, but since we have the sky on the upper right...). i Think you can relax about that i little bit, since you have other things to start, like the sky, rocks, corals... keep everything at the same level of polish, you did great with the figure so far, don't worry with details now =).
Very nice work! I really like your last few character designs
