    your getting there with skin tones and color gradation/mixing. but I think you need to work on proportions, and edges, even smoother blending.

    master study photo study, ref from national geographic photos and the last one was some head studies. Each was 2 mins.

    Nice Loomis studies! Are you applying that construction? When you do your painted studies, do you start by finding the planes like that? A lot of the photo studies don't have that same sense of understanding of planes and underlying anatomy. Don't just copy the photo, analyze it. =)

    Revidescent: Yea, trying to figure it out and applying my studies its kinda confusing on certain photos especially if it doesnt have proper lighting, I think, lol. Still trying to figure out the structure, hahaha.

    The form and proportions of your portraits are greatly improving. I can tell that you are starting to actually construct the underlying structure of the face rather than just slapping paint on. Great work, keep it up

    Stuff that I worked on during the past couple of weeks. Also, I purchased Zhang Lu's head study recently and I decided to do some homework in there. 1 min gestures and 2 min head study

    Here are some of the sketches I did couple of weeks ago, about a week or two old. Some 1 mins gestures and 2 mins head studies. Ill post some new stuff later just working on 2 master studies atm. Im off to work! peace out.

    photo ref from pbase started working on this image last monday for 2 hours and didnt continue until today for about 1.5 hours. Ill post my master painting of bouguereau tomorrow. I gotta do my 30 heads exercise and 30 gestures.

    Anyway, there was a construction in my apartment today was only to do some sketches on my sketchbook ill try to post them all later. But heres some Bouguereau pieces. The first one was suppose to be quick ones but ended up doing it for about an hour, lol..Doing it..
    The second one, I kinda liked how it turned out. But the last one, is meh..

    The first one was my second attempt on painting that girl, LMAO. I didnt know it was the same girl, hahahhaha. I hope she wouldnt think of me as her stalker which i am not, hahhah! Photo refs was suppsoe to be quick ones but meh.

    I started a new sketchpad last on march 5th. here are the results of it. I do 30 head studies 2 mins each. Trying to grasp the head structure on different angles. and 60 gestures that are 1 mins each.

    the air freshener was done last week. The shoe was done yesterday while watching Miles latest livestream. It was about 2.5-3 hours?coz I tried to do the black and white first (last image) to get the value right.

    just figure painting and painting from life (skull). Ill try better next time. was kinda tired after doing the figure and still working on my bouguereau master study. hopefully ill be done with it tonight.

    sketches from 2 weeks ago. I didnt have to work as much thats why theres plenty of sketches. heads 2 mins each just to study the construction on different angles and 1 mins gestures. Ill post the one from last week sometime later today and the recent paintings that ive been working on.

    Those head-plane studies are helping your painted faces improve tremendously! Maybe try throwing some color on them and taking away the lines in Photoshop/Painter for some extra practice?
