Welcome. I'm Michael, I'm 22 and live in Sweden. I have been drawing on & off for most of my life. I like realism, sci-fi, quick sketches, colorful paintings, girls with guns and generally strange & unique subjects. I also like never being able to finish anything and struggling to get better. My heroes are Vyle, Andrew Jones, Feng Zhu, Zdzislaw Beksinski, H.R. Giger & Craig Mullins to name a few.

When I'm not drawing, working in the construction business or out getting drunk, I like to produce music. I've been into it since 2005 and have been part of various projects, bands and styles, but these days I mostly make electronic music under the artist name Sharee, which incorporates experimental dubstep, drum&bass, idm and ambient into one crazy blend. I have a new album that I'm working on but it will be a while. I might post occasional tracks and snippets from time to time, but we're here for the visual arts, right?

Right now I'm practicing anatomy as much as I can (the skeleton specifically) but I will try not to bother you with too many shitty webcam photos of those drawings. Anyway, here are some select recent to semi-recent paintings and fun stuff.

That was a male pelvis. Some landmark tricks I learnt:
Sacrum is roughly 1/3rd of the pelvis - my reference was slightly smaller, this might be more applicable on the female pelvis.
Width of Pubic crest = Width of Spine
Width of both Obturator Foramen = Width of Sacrum

The skeletal pieces have a beautiful symmetry as a whole, but the individual components are quite organic and uneven. drawing the detailed skeleton is like traversing an alien landscape, populated by inanimate structures that seem eroded by the ages. Yet they all interplay in a strange harmony.

Back of male pelvis this time. I tried to be as accurate with the measurements as I could, but I am not perfect and don't believe in rulers. Reference book is Atlas of Human Anatomy for the Artist. First, a general outline so that the shapes and proportions are clearly visible.



Then some shading.

I think you should probs practice more with pencil and paper than digital. I always find digi more hard. Also you need to study facial anatomy more as well as just generally the whole body. For example: in the second pic of the first post, the woman definitely needs more curves rather than having a kind of cuboid figure and in the first and third pictures the faces looks a bit rushed and ujst a bit uninspired.
Keep practicing though and good luck!
