Well everyone can have it like they want it, there is a aldi and a super the farmer very close to my room. If the wether is cewl I know a nice place where we can draw.

yeah, well Groningen is long trip using the train from Brabant, around 3 to 4 to 5 hours just to get there

.....that won't leave a lot of time sketching...

I personally vote for Utrecht, nice in the middle of holland, so everybody shouldn't have to spend a whole lot of time just getting there. I don't know what the rest thinks of that?

hey people, sorry to pop in so late, what's up with the meeting? no one is overlooking any real possible dates to gather eh? a good place? a good time? As for me, I want to sketch where and whenever possible. I visit Groningen on occasion (all next 3 weekends) my Bday is on the 8th of may, woopie? party at my place? I don't even know half you guys, but that's no prob. Got a 26 m2 room to chill out. Live in Utrecht by the way. I'll even have pie, or something similar. Like quiche, or beer

Oayo, Utrecht reporting here

Just heard from Thrilzilla you guys were planning on meeting somewhere to do a lot of drawing this vacation, but damn it all, wont be able to join.

damn bummer, really wanted to meet up and see what everyone does..

Hope I will be able to attend an other meeting tho! This is quite an opportunity one can hardly pass up. My first vacation in 3 years is my reason this time, I'll probably have a little bit more time next time..

And on locations, well, that depends on the weather, if its nice and warm outside we could just stroll around Utrecht to find a nice park to hang and otherwise, my vote goes to a bar, where there's beer and I can smoke...

Maybe we can do 2 days, I have a friend in Utrecht where I can sleep. Let's start the thuesdays and when enough people are willing we can do the wensdays too. You can also come one day. Maybe we hate each other.

Wow wow wow... wait up!!!

The 3rd is in the middle of the week... I don't have a holiday, I work slave hours!

Don't forget some people have jobs! Like me... I have a fucking deadline on some concept art next week. During the week would be impossible for me, unless the meeting is in the evening and in Amsterdam (or Utrecht but then I can't stay long). Please, can we find a date that works? We will always end up with people not being able to come... but if we wanna please everyone than there's never gonna be a meeting...

This way we can get in a flow, cause my expirience is that the flow is real bad in one day and if you do 2 days, you get to know eachother first and then the 2nd day you are um played in on eachother a little bit, I don't really know how to say it. Maar met 1 dag heb je van we moeten haasten met tekenen en met 2 heb je zo van maar morgen hebben we ook nog. En als het niet leuk is dan flikkeren we gewoon op, maar als het wel leuk is is het zonde om dat 1 dag te doen, omdat het toch altijd weer ee ntijd duurt voor we elkaar weer zien.

okay, let's evluate...

First off all, I have to agree with Gilles, we will always wind up with people that can't come, so we have to make hard dates. I also like his idea to do one next week for everyone thats free. So, yeah, that means Thrillzilla probably can't come the 13th but well, we have to maken sacrifices for the bigger goal here

(we will send you a birthday-card or something).

Second, I like H.H.V.'s to do 2 days, but I don't know if I make time for 2 days of sketch fun, since I also have to do some homework and stuff for a project (hell-of-a-lot of work for me and Floris). But, the argument you state, the fact that the first day we can get to know each other and won't do a lot of drawing isn't completely true. In fact, DavidSmit, FlorisDidden, Thrillzilla, me and Joeri (he hasn't posted yet, but i'm sure he will come) are doing the same education and are in the same year together (Floris, Thrillzilla en ik zitten bij elkaar in de klas en David en Joeri), Jain is also doing the same education and is familiar with Gilles and stuff, so a lot of us already know each other and in fact attended past sketchgroup meetings. And believe me, nobody is going to hate each other, Sketchgroup meetings are all about love and peace, being together and doing what we like to do most, drawing cool stuff..

So, I would like to do 2 days of sketching frenzy, but I just don't know if I have the time.

Anyway, I vote for Gilles his idea. A meeting on both the 3th and 13th of may, with the option to do 2 days of sketching madness around the 3th?

Everybody gets what he wants that way. Anyway, i'm of to bed, will check this thread in the morning.

2 days sounds off the heezy, (Ja goed Gilles, lekker bezig?) the thirteenth is a no go for me also, got appointments set up up north already. Maybe a live feed, while i meet up with hhv, while the livefeed connects us to central holland and the rest of you guys... hmm. may i sould just not come...

anyways. always is a good day to be planning sketchgroups. i'm there 2nd and 3rd for sure

i'm gonna cry really hard for a bit. Luckily i just baked some brownies for comfort (goes great with the chickflick on tv today). The main reason i never checked out the other thread i opened before was a. there were hardly any replies and b. i've started working 4 days a week since last january, so now i don't have much time (i commute about 4 hours a day between home and work). While i'd love to participate in these meetings, i'm basically unavailable during the weeks.

I hope you guys have a great time. Also hope to see you on some weekend sketchsession some day.
