Hey all, you probably don't know me

but i was active a long time ago on this forum. As i would like to get back into concepting and do more drawing i thought it might be fun to setup a meetup group at http://www.meetup.com/Game-Movie-Conceptart-Meetup/ (and of course i don;t want to take over anything so i would like to invite some of you to be co-admins) -- but this meetup thing makes registration a LOT easier!

What we would still need is a location (preferably FREE) and i'll see if i can get some pro's to join as well! I'd think Museumplein or the Vondelpark would be great. If there is rain i can happily donate use of our anti-squat office as well

Erik, I have seen you, browsing the archives of this thread.
Your idea is cool, but Im kinda like, why make a new meeting group in Amsterdam if there is already one meeting weekly? (that has plans to go to vondelpark or museumplein in the future too).
I mean its a fancy site and all but in my opinion the forum works fine too and you dont have to check multiple sites to read about the meets.

Its cool that your active again and interested in meeting up though, i hope you can attend one of our sunday meetings. itd be great seeing you there!

By the way, I had fun yesterday. It was not insanely busy at all, a bit crowded in the morning but very few people in the afternoon.
I am getting more warmed up with animal sketching, and definitly wanna go again next week..

I found out yesterday that people with the annual memberships can get other people in with a discount- it's 5 or 6 Euros less than normal admission. Maybe that will help some people who are put off by the price at Artis?

It's just that a lot of pplz that i know might be interested are not on this site and that you might meet also some peepz you did not know about.

Never my intention to make life more difficult... If it already works i'll just cancel the meetup.

Yup, Ben got me a 5€ discount last sunday, from 18,50 down to 13,50. It's also listed here (dutch).
Had a lot of fun. Was my first time drawing from life so felt a little odd with all the people looking. I'll see if I can join in more often, other locations also sound great.

hey, I wont be able to come tomorrow, I'm working my ass off to finish my report in time so I have my whole weekend planed out for me. Anyways the workload will ease up next week so I hope I'll see you then instead.

hey whatsup guys.
for next sunday meilin proposed to meet up at central station, because there is the possibility of rain and in that case we could go other places, like for example a museum.
I think its an excellent idea.
There is a chance Ill be going to skateland this sunday, i dont get to go there often so in that case i wont be coming. anyway, ill post my plans here later.
