yeah, we did rock the bauhaus too hard. that guy wasn't willing to make any compromises.. ah well. my head was swimming that night from all the accumulated lack of sleepbut who cares, i had a great time!!
as for the environment thing, do any of you know any cool vistas? how about a park or a space in queen anne or the u district we can go to this saturday? we could do a perspective review to start things out if any of u are interested. i always find it refreshing to get a brain warm-up.
we'd obviously have to plan for the day and move somewhere at night, but i don't think a cafe would work. i assume some of you are underage, so we can't count on a bar. around dinnertime, would any of you be interested in eating out someplace? we could get a reservation someplace, or just go to dicks or somewhere like it.
also, you guys are welcome at my [parent's] place, we have a decent size pad, lots of nature and a big kitchenonly problem it's about 20 mins north of seattle so some of you who live in kent would have an extra drive.
if any of you have an aching to get together and sketch sometime during the week, like i mentioned i usually make it out to seattle most days [except for thurs] so you'd have a draw buddy there to meet ya.
what do y'all think?

If we are looking for an outdoor place there's always Kerry Park and Parson's Gardens (on Queen Anne), Golden Gardens (Ballard), Greenlake, Discovery Park (Magnolia), Alki Beach (West Seatle)...I could go on and on actually. All of these places have good scenic views and each one (besides the ones on Queen Anne) are down by the water.
I'll try to get some stuff scanned in later today or tomorrow. It was another great night!
theres a park on queen anne that overlooks the city (and has some subpark field below it), the water, and has alot of the queen anne houses around. would be great for an enviroment thing. Only problem is lack of light when it gets dark.
next meet is on this coming saturday? sorry i couldn't make it to the last one...i'll be at the next one for sure!!! (so will my camera). I miss you guys already...

That's Kerry Park. It has an awesome view. I can post some pictures if I can find them. There's 2 other great places just down the street. One is Parson's Gardens which is like a little public garden area (nothing too big...like one lot size) and the other little scenic area just looks out towards the Olympics.theres a park on queen anne that overlooks the city (and has some subpark field below it), the water, and has alot of the queen anne houses around. would be great for an enviroment thing. Only problem is lack of light when it gets dark
Either way, Kerry Park is 3 blocks from my apartment, so I'm there!
blame canada!
sorry...reminded me too much of south park...had to use it.
so...where is it going to be this saturday?
i'm bummed i've missed this a few times. i need to draw other things than insects and guts for a while.
later!

my friend told me about a coffee shop(i think thats what it was, might have been a restaurant) in seattle, about the size of dicksthats open 24 hours, dont remember the name. imagine, 24 hours of sketchbooking goodness.![]()
awesome, those parks are right up the street from me. ben, thats minnie's. opened 24 hours, still might be a little crowded for 15 people, espicially during a last call rush.
So is there 2 seperate meetings then? One at the park during the day and one at night at a coffeshop?
I take my grandpa to dialysis Saturdays (once again) so I'm unable to make a saturday daytime meet, but anything on a saturday night, I'm there.
Who from Kent/Tacoma is going? We should all ride togethers..
one2hit?
Ruptured?
skrubbes?
Sok?
anybody else?

Sadly, I don't think I would be able to make it on a Saturday, because I'm going to Canada that weekend. I reaaaally wanted to go though... maybe there could be a second outdoor thing arranged on another day?
There's an all-night place on Aurora near Greenlake called "Beth's"..
Beth's Cafe
They actually like people to draw stuff.. they have lots of paper and crayons for late night drunks to scribble with.. and the walls are covered with lots of doodles.. fun stuff!![]()
I'm always down for a little outdoor action. Actually, I usually head to Golden Gardens 2 or 3 times a week when the weather is nice and do work at the beach. I think it would be fun to try some different areas.
Minnie's might be a little small but they do have some larger tables that we might be able to use. We'd be 2 or 3 small groups instead of one big one. There's always Denny's out in Ballard about 10-15 minutes away. Beth's cafe is also nice if you're into dive places that offer 8-egg omelettes (their food is stellar). I'm sure there are some other 24 hour places in the area that are accessible to everyone.
Anyways, I'm down for meeting anytime Thursday through Sunday; dependant on workload of course.
See yall soon!
heh, ive been to beth's before. i think i still got a drawing up there.
I'd love the opportunity to meet up and doodle jam with you all sometime! If you're looking for a place to meet up this weekend, me and my roommate are having an open gallery of art & music at our house in the Central District...if interested, please PM me and I'll send you the flyer...
where is the central district?

Hey Jetpack- It's just south of Madison, southeast of Capitol Hill...our house is right near MLK Way and Cherry. Come on by if you can! If not, hope to meet up eventually soon...
Hey Jetpack! Why are you "banned from Eatpoo"?![]()

whats the plan this week?![]()

gah. that's right. are any of you going to the parade? if so, we could make this last just a few hours so you don't miss it. how was the traffic last year?if we really wanted to do something, i'm sure the eastside wouldn't be as bad.
whachu guys tink?
hey...does anyone on this site know if there is a calendar we can create with the dates/times/locations marked so we have one place to go when the decision's been made for a sketchjamfest?
just curious.
d![]()
im going to the parade.
we could always just make this coming meet friday, then we'll be able to alternate up to the 13th when![]()
![]()
is coming.
a calender is a great idea.
if we make this coming meet friday, we could just plan every week, alternating fri/sat, 8pm at a specific location every week (which place has worked the best?). If we want outside events, we can discuss those further. This way we can establish some regularity, and not need to figure it out every week....but i don't know how we'll overtake the UK for most posts that way...![]()

well I thought we were already alternating fridays and saturdays... that's why I've already tried getting every other saturday off so I can sleep in after the meets... how late does the parade thing go to? i mean, the main meet up can still be at 8pm on saturday I'd imagine (depending on when the parades done) and if we still wanna do environments we can either do it in an area the parade isn't or we can just change it to sunday.... I don't know... I'm just rambling
gah, totally forgot we were alternating. got busy planning out everything but the schedulei'm ok now.
so let's do it friday[?] that would solve a few problems
i confess confusion. whats going on?
prostate ~
somehow we got an idea the next meet was going to be this saturday, but realized that the schedule we set earlier [based on our friend coming to town, too] says we should meet this friday![]()

jetpack - thanks... I'll probably stay late again like last week and just barely get any sleep. I mean, I like the sketch night too. My job is a POS so I don't mind being asleep during most of it... LOL
