I know the entries are done... but its a nice way to draw something when I don't know what to draw and want to (should) draw something.

Have been thinking of this for a while. Wanted to flesh it out a bit while its still fresh in my brain.

Hey Jake!
I like that your doing master studies and still life's instead of photos. I really like the storm trooper still life. The Marks are so minimal yet accurate. Thanks for sharing, Cheers!

I painted this as soon as I got home. While driving home, I fixated on what was in front of me, and really enjoyed the atmospheric depth the drizzly fog produced.
Painted from memory.

4x4.5 inches, watercolor and gouache photo-study. I was experimenting with the hard edges found in mountains.
Looking forward to seeing more posts. Here's to the challenging pursuit of this craft! Good luck and keep pushing!

Eh, y'all get what I mean.
I didn't do an EXTENSIVE survey, but 7 seems to be a fairly safe number for the length of the body related to the head attached to the body.
It kind of blew my mind.
Anyway.
Here is the studying.
Here are the doodles. ...I stopped at the last one, my academia started running away.
