    Sketchbook 2011

    Hi everyone,

I haven't drawn for a long time but recently I've made a decision to come back. Maybe this time I will have a patience and inner strength to improve my skills. I started drawing and making 3d (I mainly work as a 3d graphic artist) because when I saw "The Lord of the Ring" trilogy for a first time on a big screen I told to oneself that I want to do things like that - create worlds, images which can impress other people. But as you know this is a really hard to do so I have a hope that this time I wont give up.

The first three works are from last days. Other are from the beginning of 2011, but as the title is "Sketchbook 2011" I attached them to

All comments and criticism are welcome.

Looking good so far. Those architecture/item studies/etc look great - I'd love to see more of those. I think loosening up and thinking about your brush strokes/hatching more would be nice for both the depiction of form and for you if you were having problems with motivation before. Just play, don't worry about anything looking wrong or stupid and just enjoy the feeling of pencil on paper. Take a separate paper for it if you prefer it that way, but by learning to enjoy the progress you will need inner strength to do other things.

    But yeah, keep drawing!!

    Greetings,

Very nice work, I like the 3d study and the architectures. From what I understand you want to do, create worlds, etc., I can only say this requires loads of patience and practice. However you have a good head start.

    Keep up the good work!

    All the best,
Check out my SB and please leave a comment or something

Saara, dac - thanks for your posts I know that practice and patience are really necessary but I still haven't got enough motivation and free time...

Some new work - this time not traditional but digital (roman scutum)
