Hey. Yet another response :-) I was debating with myself whether or not to post now,
but I won that argument, so here it is. I don't think the drawing needs blending or hair
work, at least not yet. What you do ned to watch out for when you do your next drawing
is the tonal depth. There is a lot of white and light grey, but where is the rest? Keep it
simple, but also keep it 3D!

Can't wait to see more!

don't forget! try doing observation work in different media! i didn't start working with a tablet until last year! i would spend most of my time with good ol' pencil and paper practicing value anatomy and a ton of observational! i'm a senior now in high school and and i think i advanced with my work a lot due to all the anatomy practice, value practice, and observational work. you do this and you will make your way to the top with time and effort! keep up the good work. =]

Thanks man! Yeh I do my fair share of pencil, its just I dont have a scanner so I cant really show it. I heartily agree, if you cant use a pencil dont even bother with the computer, yes. (its actually a tiny bit harder on the computer isnt it, pencil is the dream machine)

Hi, Wow! There's been a lot of activity here
In the last one: which is the most prominent part of the face? The nose is, (and the
fringe is artistically speaking a part of the face, maybe) - the nose should get the
nice dark shadows and also catch the light most. You can see that - it's the only bit
of the face with a little highlight. At the very base of the nose at the bottom you can
also see a bit of light in that shadow - this is just reflected light.

So your drawing has great tone already, but needs a little more attention.

READ FIRST: If you consider this a TL;DR (too long; didn't read) then this is what I said: Take criticism, learn from it, improve, have fun. Use references and draw from imagination.

Hello, this may seem rude and inconsiderate, however I do not intend it to be. First of all, I like your dedication to drawing/painting (only paintings, I have seen though you probably draw on paper too).

I also have a suggestion, instead of posting every few hours with a new painting, how about you just post all the paintings you did that day in one post. For example, all the paintings you completed yesterday would go in one post instead of six.

Now for the 'rude' part, it will only be rude if you can't take constructive criticism. If you can't take criticism though there is pretty much no point in posting, though I do not know if this is the case. I mainly decided to comment because I was irked when you said: "yay, im getting good, who needs references." I'm going to be brutally honest here, but I see no improvement. This is typical though, as it has only been one day; more painting is required to improve any substantial amount. From this quote though I can see that you may plan on using no references just because of an illusion you have that you are getting better. If you do not use reference (and this is based on observation rather than experience, though I do find I improve more with reference as well) you will not improve very much. In fact, I believe that you will only reinforce bad habits instead of correcting them.

Upon doing further research on threads you have created I see that you may indeed be one of those people who cannot handle anything 'boring'. As illustrated:

"Better yet, stick to drawing simple objects from life, not people from photos, for a while. "

You find this task boring and I agree, drawing simple objects from life can be dull, challenging, and all around unlikeable. But it is through these unlikeable and challenging acts that enables one to grow as an artist. Studying is how you perceive it, if you want to improve though I recommend doing it (drawing objects from life).

This brings me to another point, you can't outright deny criticism. Well, actually, you can but what is the point of posting any art here at all if you cannot take criticism? This forum as I perceive it is for learning, life in general is for learning, in case you didn't get it: you are always learning! The rate at which you learn (art-wise) depends on your ability to listen to criticism and to try to apply it to your own works to the best of your ability. If someone says something like: "Hey, those shadows aren't quite dark enough. You should try to use more contrast" you try to follow their advice and store it away for later in case it happens again. This will make you improve rapidly, as opposed to if you ignored what people suggested and just did your own thing. While imagination is good at times, without a good base to build on, the art you make won't be as good as it could be.

You probably know all that, but I felt that it was best to tell you because you seem to ignore criticism you don't like. Which is not a very good trait at all.

Now for some actual critique (I am probably telling you what has been said before in other threads you have created, I hope though that you will look at criticism in a new light). I think, based on your paintings, that you use a small brush. Small brushes (as I have heard it) are useful for minute details but not for laying down the general structure of a painting. My advice would be that at first you use a large brush to lay down either color or value and then blend the value/color. You can still use a small brush, but I wouldn't recommend it unless you are detailing a painting. Also, you should still use references (even the pros use references). Analyze the reference, try to glean information from it as if the image is meat and you are a starving vulture.

Sorry for this long as hell post. I hope it has helped though in your journey to improve. If anyone who draws/paints better than me (a lot of people!) feel free to correct anything I have said. I am mostly basing this critique off of other advice I have seen or have been given. I am prone to these mistakes myself. I also apologize for any redundancies/errors.

hello and welcome it is fun to see new people here. your off to a good start. Do u draw anything traditionally? would love to see some still life with pencil just to see where you stand in your technique. Faces are hard, one tip is that you often go to smudgy/blurry, try use some harder brushes or go with pen and paper some time too.

While I mostly disagree with what you post in the CC section, I am glad to see you opened a sketchbook as well!
I like your weird style of drawing digitally, it is rough and naive, and at the same time so different it is just fun to look at something you haven't seen 100.000 times before
