Thanks for your kind comment in my sketchbook!

Couldn't help but notice you're 15 as well, us youngsters have to stick together, haha.
It's really inspiring how many studies and the amount of work you do.
I think you've gotta great style going in digital and watercolors, those things are hard as shit.

I'm gonna subscribe so I can keep seeing your improvement!

    Ludic Hey there, thanks for the visit! : ) Haha yeah us conceptart kiddies;;
and thank you! already subscribed right back at you

well I didn't get as much done past few days as a wanted to (will I ever??) but I did a few things.
they're less study oriented, I think I need to develop my creative side more

though I have a bunch of things on my list to study for next week
and I've been slowly learning the muscles while at school, thanks to my classic anatomy book and lots of help from my friends(' bodies)

first some arm studies from earlier this week (redrew those arms I drew before, loomis)
then tried to find the muscles on pictures of muscly guys
looking back i think I could do a better job at this now that i've learned more about the arms through the week, I should do some more later

there are still a million things wrong, but slowly getting closer...
I think I'm still making the torso too short(?)

I'm happy to see so many different styles exhibited in your sketchbook! It's really healthy for artists to experiment with all kinds of different approaches to their craft Your paintings are great and show a very vibrant and exciting use of colors throughout.

I wish I had some advice for you, but you are worlds beyond my talent. Keep up the great work!

Congrats on 5 stars! I'm jealous
Wow oils? Nice! I haven't touched oils in years :/
Very nice flowers and teapot. Books tend to have a subtle S curve and your pages are just a couple big C curves, the form could be more..graceful I guess?

Keep it up! You're gonna get way better.

i'm going to point something out (based on your recent traditional pencil drawings/ sketches).
make sure you keep an eye on your line quality. it is something i struggle myself (and a ton of other artists).

Your oil paints are very good. Is it called, painting with light? Very open, subtle way you paint.

I am officially a fan now. I love the faces you draw and all of your stuff is just so interesting to look at. I'm not only wondering HOW you're making certain marks but WHY an image is the way it is. You're 15, yet your art translates a kind of conscientiousness and self-knowledge that a lot of adults don't exude in their work. Keep it up and never stop experimenting =D

    good news, quick update!

school and personal life have been killing me so I haven't been able to update for a while - I'll post some of the stuff I've been up to, and reply to the kind messages in my next update (thank you!)

I just wanted to share that I've just received my acceptance to the CSSSA summer animation program and I'm super excited!! It's going to be an intense four weeks!

Thanks to all the people who've been supporting and continue to support me on CA, it's really a huge help, and greatly helped me seize this opportunity!

I'll update with some art this weekend hopefully! : )

You shouldn't be embarassed to try new things here, it is what everyone should be trying to do. I got no real crits, just keep pushing it, it's all looking good. Not really a fan of the Betty Edwards colour theory book though, a much better one for oil painting is Harold Speed's "Oil painting techniques and materials" or Schmid's "Alla Prima".

Actually one crit I see now, in the last two original room paintings, the shadows on the bed/from the lamp do not seem to follow the light coming in through the window.
