Hey hey, liking the effect on that last one. Really nice. I'm not sure about the composition and pose though. He looks like he's wandering off the right side of the picture and I think if he was facing out to the viewer it would be a lot more effective and creepy. But that's probably personal taste so feel free to ignore me if you disagree.

Thanks Candra, yea the issues are really fundamental with it, better to restart it with those things in mind or completely scrap it. thanks!

Hey,
his upper torso seems a bit too wide, and the wrinkles on the suit don't seem to match the placement of his right (our left) arm.

Over all, looks really cool.

Hey thanks alot guys, here's something I've been working on, crits really appreciated.

Oh wow, I like it a lot. Brilliant composition and lighting.

One thing though. I'm not sure the guy would be able to sit astride the dragon like that. It's a pretty big beast. Maybe if you raise the saddle up so he's perched above the dragon's back or just higher up, it would help.

Also, if that's a fire off the page to the right, maybe warm up the lit areas on the dragon's body a bit more to show it better. If not, feel free to tell me to shut up.

anyways here's something else I've been working on

Wow, cool. She looks like she could kick some serious arse.

I love the colours in the background and the play of light and shadows in the foreground. Really nice effects there. Though, I'm not sure about her forward shoulder. Something about it reads wrong - like there's not enough definition in the structure or muscles, or maybe where the shoulder joins the back is at a wrong angle - showing too much of one or the other. I dunno. Just something seems off about it so I figured I'd point it out.

And yeah, definitely, soon as I get some free time, I'll come hunt you down on Skype. I could do with picking your brains about digital stuff among other things.

DANG, i stumbled across your blog yesterday and your thumbs for that hunter chick were sick and your creature designs are damn good. I went back to the start and i remember first seeing your sketchbook when i started, you've come a long way and I really need to kick up a gear. Your stuff is sick man, much for inspiration! I love the mood of the Boogeyman! I'm an idiot but, I do think his index finger is too long in regards to the others. Also, It just seems strange to me the cast shadow on the wall. Just something about ghost type things doing that to me is strange. Really, though. You make it work well. Also, I know too little to give any valuable crit. Mainly I just want to say, keep killin it!

I just love when you browse forums casually and then suddenly stumble across a great sketchbook. Your is one of them.
Improvement from first page is clearly visible, you did fantastic work. Last two paintings and The Boogeyman are my favourites. Creature concepts are also superb.

Your sketchbook is fantastic, you have great skill and it's making me want to draw so I can get as good as you one day.

Crit -- the composition of the last one is great. The snakes are a nice touch. The face, though, is mostly dark and makes it look a little impersonal. I think if we could see her face better it'll bring more personality into it.
