Okay, holy shit balls. This most recent painting is beautiful. There's something very... over-rendery about that fucking beautiful cat. I think it's probably because the hard-edgeyness of the cat versus the beautifully textured and blended background & foreground. Now this is just my two cents (somebody with practically NO painting background whatsoever):

1)soften some of the edges to make the cat seem like it was meant for that specific environment?
2)Maybe add a harsh rim light to the kitty with little specks of dust flying around
3)make the kitty's underbelly and the shadow even harsher?

Allrighty, hope these suggestions make you either get residual ideas, or make you more confident about your choices!

I love the Sphynx cat painting you did a couple of pages back. The smooth texture of the cat works really nice against the paiterly textures around it - draws the eye nicely. All in all you've got some great work here!
