Killzone 3 - environment concept art

Here's some artwork I did for Killzone 3. I had a really good time working on this project with so many incredibly talented artists.

The Helghast space station production design shown below (last two images of this post) is a collaborative effort between the amazing Mike Hill and myself.

    Hope you like them!

    Cheers,
    Jesse

this sold the game for me.
Killzone 2's environments were such an inspiration. I can already tell this game will be as well.

Stunning work, man. You continually humble me with your speed and no-nonsense approach to design. It's been a blast working with you (and all the other guys) on this project.
It's a shame how so much work and thought has to be represented by only a handful of pictures on a forum, but I know how much you contributed to the project. Can't wait to see what's next!

Beautiful stuff. I absolutely love the detailing, and the aesthetic really helps sell it as uniquely killzone. Really well done.
May I be so bold as to ask how long one of these usually takes to finish?

Oh wow these were beautiful! Very sharp and exact!
I think as far as I can remember these are my favorite games concept designs I have seen.
The reason being is that they are treated as fully rendered finished masterpieces. The entire time I was thinking "isn't this too much effort for a concept?".
I am very impressed by how polished these are.

    I applaud you.

Many thanks for the positive feedback all, very much appreciated!

    Mandryk>> Many thanks man!

Floris>> Cheers man, that means a lot. Working together was a blast indeed. We'll talk soon!

Mohdawg>> Thanks, I'll use any techinque/method that will help me get the point across, including 3d, photos, etc.

    scho81>> cheers dude!

Sabin> cheers man, good to see you here. I'm keeping an eye out for any new works of yours!

Duman>> thanks dude. Generally somewhere between one to four days. The space station took a bit longer though...

David! Good to see you're still alive man, been watching your awesome new works recently. Have fun in Budapest!

Pavel Sokov>> The level of detail in these paints is generally required, as everything should be easily interpretable by level designers, lighting artists, and so on.

stalsby>> thanks man. Unfortunately no WIP shots for these.

    again, many thanks all!

    Jesse
