oeeh I like.
Saw your workshop in IFX and was impressed by your method, and of course your results. Your work seems full of character and depth, really nice.
Dang! Very nice indeed - post more at once!
Wow I love it.
Somehow it reminds me of the movie "Waterworld" - except this is taking place in the sky.
This ain't bad, since I really loved Waterworld for many years. I watched it so much on tape, the tape eventually broke! Bummer.
But I really think it's awesome, and I'd like to see more from you.
Thanks for the comments, always welcome. Waterworld, you say? Never seen it, I was put off by the critical mauling it got. Might have to have a look now, thanks Bering!

Ian, you're one of those rare things.... lightning in a bottle
fresh imagination plus skillful execution,
I wouldn't tarnish this great work with the Waterworld tag, (which is itself trying to be an aquatic Mad Max) - its totally its own thing
Amazing. There are so many stories to be told in these images. And the depth, color, and lighting are fantastic. Thanks for sharing these. I could stare at them for hours.
I like the first one the best. The contrast between the in focus floating ship, and the one behind it, is awesome.
Oh yessssssss I'm so happy to see you become a part of this community, huge fan of your work from other sites.
These are amazing; I love the cobbled together look of everything.
And yet they still look so clean and graphic...

Brilliant work! I love the world that you've created in these images, very inspirational. I could definitely see a role-playing game being spawned from this imagery. Excellent.
Great work! This is the best stuff I've seen in a long time, thanks for posting.
I'd love to hear about your process and preferred media if you get a chance.
Beautiful work! I love the colors and just the whimsical qualities of your airship designs!
Fantastic arts
Cheers folks, much appreciated.
Vahn, dpaint - the current issue of ImagineFX features a workshop showing my process. It's available in Europe now, next month in the US (I think):

Also, there's a video grab of an ipad sketch over on my blog which is fairly basic, but you get the idea:

Big fan of your work since I came across it a few months ago.
Please tell me you have some plans for this amazing world you're creating. Graphic novel or indy game maybe?
Wow, this needs to become an illustrated movie or tv special right away.
Beautiful rendering, wonderful ideas, and an overall amazing vibe.
Amazing work.
great works!! I really love the color tones
Insane works here,
thanks so much for sharing, very inspiring!!
Great stuff! Really impressive - I'll be picking up IFX #68 for sure and checking out your blog. Looks like a guy could do pretty well in this world if he was a decent mechanic and had some welding skills!
What would Caravaggio do?

wow! truly beautiful style. I love both your more gritty and textured style and you clean cut style... not sure which I like more! That rust texture is just gorgeous!
I appreciate your work.
