Vilppu is fantastic for gesture, stick with it! learning those spherical and box forms really helps to visual and simplify after a while, probably an exercise I should get back into again!
My only minor crit would be to try to fill some more of the image/page with smaller studies. The legs you did in your first post are very well done - Keep it up!
I really like your quick studies! The eyes one looks awesome, as they have feeling and depth despite being different studies of eyes on one page.
Do you do any gesture sketching, or random sketches in a sketchbook as well?
@ Krystar - Thanks, Villpu has rly an amazing approach to figure stuff.
As for smaller studies i did a ton of posemaniacs today inspired by you and i loved it.
@ Aronjs - Hey man, thanks for dropping by. I actually did very few imaginative/random sketches. I`m kinda afraid to experiment in this early stage. Will do something tomorrow and see what happens.

liberty i think you should keep in mind yo base yourself. Basics of structure, proportion and line will make the next steps a lot easier :B
Keep going,

You've done some wonderful studies and I can tell you've put a lot of time into them. Keep working with those!
The latest piece you posted looks a stiff. I would think about sketching it out again and trying for more natural poses. Also remember to flip your canvas horizontally every now and then, you'll spot inconsistencies.
You have so great work going on so far! Keep it up!
@ FootstepsBeckon - Thanks m8, I`m rly indecisive weather to go with pure structural and mechanical studies or "waste" my time on experimenting altho i can`t rly draw correct yet.
Apparently i will have to do a loads of studies that sometimes look dull and arbitrary.
@ ToastedAlmond - Thank you for reminding me about flipping canvas which i never really did.

I`m collecting anatomy references and will be doing these from now on, from the point where i stand i cant draw natural looking pose. I tried it, its to early, no big deal. Will get there eventually.
See ya around and take care.

Hi Liberty
Nice anatomy studies. Try using cleaner line work when you draw and getting the movement and form down in as few lines as possible. You'll learn a lot from keeping things simple
This site is really great for practicing anatomy:

Hey, Jiina. This gesture drawing tool spares me a lot of time browsing for poses. Thank you very much.

Your rendered digital stuff looks a little streaky which is from using a too small a brush. Imagine digital as paint, you usually block in large values and work downwards in brush size as you need to input more details.
Your gestures are looking good though - keep at them!
I'll definitely second this one-- I loosely block out a sketch with a large soft brush and always work in layers. I ended up with almost 80 layers on one, but as I worked, I could trim them down and delete what I no longer needed.
If you're working with a tablet, you'll start to enjoy the habit of softer motions for the initial sketch.
Awesomeness! Keep on going![]()
I really like the studies you did. Especially the legs in the first post look really good ^^.
Thanks!
