Ooh, latest one looks cool! Reminds me of this:
    http://akonstad.deviantart.com/gallery/#/d4icirs

I'd watch out on the ropes with it though. They are going a really far distance, so I think either the far end of it should be thinner or the close end should be thicker. The guy is also a bit stiff. Maybe make him walking towards that thing instead of just standing?

I would like to see some more "pushy" texture-differences in the latest WIP.
Also, the person in the foreground should have a dog! (Or a ***** dragon)

    Some wips

I've tried to post a few times, but always messed up& ended up deleting the post somehow.. Anyhow here is some stuff from my facebook gallery, haven't painted much lately to be honest and esp. nothing "personal". Anyway :

also here is some stuff I've done in After-effects, which is something I've started to dig into lately, and something I recommend that all artists that want to work with film&movies&games do! Learnt so much from it already.

and this is from a tutorial, the only one I've done so far which taught me a lot haha

WIll try to post sketches since I've found a new love for the pencil...

Nice work in After Effects, I'm pretty intrigued to know how you did the 3rd one.

Great paintings. I think the composition of the sci-fi soldiers piece has a fundamental problem, in that the rock spire is silhouetted against the moon, and automatically becomes the focal point.

Awesome man! Now all you need to do is get into the habit of regular updates

And we should start skyping again sometime--it was a lot fo fun and I learned so much from you. I finished school now, so will have more free time (although my schedule is busy for the next week or so).

    Thanks guys! Good crits HunterKiller

I'll just post this and get some sleep. I made a new blog for my..ehm...thoughts? The first post is a bit noisy, but I think I got some of my thoughts down. At least a little. My plan is to keep track of my thoughts on such thing as life and motivation etc. I'm constantly thinking of how to get my and others thoughts on the subject out there, and I think a blog is the best way. That way you can skip the unnecessary information and jump right into the bits and pieces you want to see/read.

Anyhow, here is the link to the post. maybe someone can extract something useful from it. Who knows!

    Another artless post :/

I was discussing perspective...stuff...with Ethan Karnopp today, and after doing some searching around, I found this thread:

Draw a perfect square having two vanishing points

and decided to make a tutorial on the subject.

    Here is the result:

    and here is the tutorial:

    Mila: Thanks!

    XENöSIS: Thank you!

Mark Tarrisse: Haha thank you! it always goes back to 4 once it gets 5 sooo I'm pretty sure people have agreed that this is a 4 star book, which I'll be happy to agree with for just a little while longer... I have a bit of studying to do to catch up with them 5*ers

soooo those "regular" updates have been feeling really good, so I'll try to keep up. I'm trying my best to get good in many areas, as you see a few posts earlier I've started in AE, which I try to spend at least 1 "project" a day on, I'm also trying to learn to keep up with several different pipelines, in AE that is matte-painting, camera-tracking and so on, but I also want to learn 3D, which is how I got into 2D from the beginning, really. But I'm rusty, so here is some practice...probably my first model in 4-5 years D: I used to think it was really boring, but it turns out it just takes a bit of patience Hopefully I can finish this model the way i've intended too... I've already learnt a lot about how to create smooth to hard edges...kinda like painting in away.... There are still some "artifacts" left on the main-mesh which I'm currently working on.. I also had some problems getting my blueprints reading well on every max startup...Right now i'm working on blurry ones (not visible in the render..but trust me, in viewport they are absolute shite, and i'm working more off of ref, than from the blueprints as soon as the main is done D: )

anyway...enough talk...here is my work-in-progress the one on the right is a low-poly mock-up I made pretty quickly to warm up. I'm also using parts of it to fill in the missing main-model for the render, if you couldn't tell =D

Also thanks to abee for doing some supervising on my modelling "techniques"!

    Thanks guys!

So today my "regular updates" will take a break. I'm going to Ayia Napa in cyprus for a week! My first "summer vacation" ever I'm really looking forward to it!

Anyways, I thought i'd drop my progress on the f22 raptor on here before I leave I'll bring my sketchbook and make sure to get some sketchin' done. I'm also planing on visiting varosha/famagusta which is supposed to be a really cool ghost-town We'll see how that goes.

and here is to show all the artifacts i'm dealing with 3D is really fun, but it takes some patience and knowing the program a little better to get everything sharp and tidy. It's going in the right direction though, and I feel every hard edge is easier than the last one so...some progress I guess.

Cya in a week! And thanks for all the support, guys

    Nyctalgia: I'll try!

Velocity Kendall: A lot of fun, but also a lot of patience and technique D= I'm learning slowly but surely though and I have a lot of friends who give me tips and stuff, so I can't complain!

DstraX: Thank you! Bit woobly still D: I'll be working on those edges tonight

oookkkaaay...so back in sweden. From 40 degrees to 6 in less than 5 hours... D: Anyways, I had a really great week in Ayia Napa! Now time for last week of school, then no more school (ever. unless its a badass artschool ofc! ) wooohoo!

Some more modelling on the way, but today I felt like painting. I'm been drawing/looking a lot at airplanes lately, and I feel that it's influencing my design-choices a lot already. Anyway, its a lot of fun!
