From what i understand Art Center is very ID heavy, is this the side of things your interested in for going there? If so, i'd love to see you approach some ID stuff.

To be honest, ID is what I want to do, the kinda stuff that John Park does is what I always wanted to do, I've just got kinda side-tracked with illustration thanks to this place funnily enough haha! Thanks man! This book will be pretty ID heavy shortly!

Ah great! I've been very heavily into ID myself too lately, i love how its pure design rather than just making an attractive artwork, which i find much more satisfying. Ahah yeh thats one thing that i'm not that fond of about CA, even though its called 'conceptart'.org the majority of the site seems very illustrative in terms of content and approach - but hey its still a great community. Look forward to seeing what you come up with!

it's just a feeling, my brain keeps on banging
"sth is wrong with it" maybe it's also about the figure on foreground (it has unnatural propotions)

Hey man, awesome stuff on that latest WIP, loving how your describing the form with the different planes - looks like a stealth bomber? (from my very limited knowledge). Are you using any videos for this ID stuff? I've found Scott Robertson's Gnomon Workshop vids mega helpful for learning the draw-through process. Keep it up man, can't wait to see how this one progresses and more of your ID stuff.

Takashmen: I agree with the crit, I think its the mucho-too-warm in the background that is rubbing off a bit. But one of the goals with the painting, was to push in different fields.. such as value and chroma haha. I have noticed that I leave my paintings a bit too dull. So I gotta practice outside of my comfortzones too

haha thanks man its on its way, i just want to figure out what every part looks like, and how it fits together not only visually. I still haven't done much with the background either, I just have a rough idea of what kind of light there is in the scene. I did some green bounce light etc, and blue reflecting from the sky (turning more cyan'ish because of the green/yellow that is the plane), but it will have to wait just a little longer till everything is definied and worked out!
