What do you do besides art?

I was going to say 'in your free time', but I know that you would all just say "draw" or "practice" Haha. I ask because I hear a lot of people saying they do nothing but art all the time, and I'v been doing 15 hour days all week and I'm really bored of art now, so I figure most people secretly need a break from it too, and I want to remember what fun is. So, what are your hobbies and interests?

I cook, bake, and have just started swing dance lessons. I also play xbox really badly and keep a few pets. In summer I walk/hike, fish and sometimes do a bit of horse-riding and motor-boating, gosh I miss summer.

    Now it's your turn!

Up until last year I was a police reservist (ie: volunteer police officer) for a couple of years.

My full time job is in construction/engineering field and I'm looking to get out of it.

Any free time I have now is used for keeping my wife happy and doing the dishes.

    Sleep. Eat. Sleep. Eat. Sleeeeeeeeep...

Well, okay, yes, there ARE other things. Going out to concerts and dance parties (mostly in the warmer seasons when there's lots of free outdoor concerts...) Exploring. Taking daytrips to places where I can ramble in the woods barefoot (okay, not barefoot in the winter, obviously)... Buying and reading books... Kayaking if I get a chance (depends on borrowing other people's kayaks...) Going to museums (wait, that's art-related, does it count?)... Or just going and checking out random events that look interesting, maybe, if I'm in the mood.

Read about it on the internet :/ and checking on new images, its what i do on my breaks.

I study graphic design, so i`mmostly working on some project, and try to sketch on my free time.

I watch movies, i like watching a ton of them as soon as i get some spare days. Maybe a videogame, read a comic , haent exercise in ages but used to do it often, now i`m moslty the above ^

Besides being a CEO of a small corp I do fishing. When I go fishing I take my digital camera along and get shots of things I might like to paint. Painting is always on my mind. If I lived to be 969 I wouldn't have time to do all the paintings I have in my head.

I've been running track for about 7 years now. I didn't get to compete this year sadly. Hopefully I can get another season of competition in next spring. Also I play rugby with my school and play starraft2. That's about it other than drawing and painting.

Ride & show horses, school, photography.
It took me like three hours to finish the shading on your upper lip. It's probably the best drawing I've ever done.

Whew, it's tough to get away from art! But when I do, I'm playing piano, finding new and interesting restaurants or cafes, camping, being a gym rat, watching cult films, playing oldschool vg (cause I'm too poor for new ones!), cooking elaborate meals, feeding my internets addiction, going to shows, crocheting, reading and researching, and recently, cleaning like a madwoman with the windows open and blaring my music to the neighborhood!

Sounds like we should get together and explore the world, QueenGwenevere!

    Bicycles...

    I like bicycles.
Especially in summer. Winter in winnipeg means I can only really ride my fixed gear. Which I do, but when it's warm out I get to ride bmx and/or trials(like parkour on a bike).
A couple videos of myself- here

I used do a lot of photography-photos and more photos
Not so much anymore, but I still enjoy my old film camera occasionally.

Otherwise, books, movies and sometimes some video games. Spending too much time online. I love board games and miniature battle games but have a hard time finding people to play them with.

Oh yah, I started playing some instruments last year, mandolin, and guitar with a loop pedal. I don't really try to learn how to play other peoples songs much, just experiment until things start sounding good. Piano and drums are fun too.

I bike in the summer and read all winter. I'm also into food (both cooking and bumping around restaurants.) I take photos. I look for hares. I answer people's questions for a living. Once every two years I try to write a novel.

I used to knit but I really fucked up my hands so now I can't. And if it snowed here more reliably I'd probably take up cross-country skiing again.

I'm working as a Graphic Designer, and spent as much time as I can sketching and drawing, reading books about art or surfing the internet for art

besides that I like to work out (Some physical activities besides art are great), I like to read and watch movies. And cooking and baking as well! I love to bake bread and muffins

I simply love playing videogames - it sucks up most of the time I should be spending doing teh arts, so yeah, I'm a bit of a hardcore gamer.

Other then that, it's simply the monotony of housework, schoolwork, and exercise. Videogames is what I usually do.

I do lots of stuff in my free time. At home, I cook, read, play video games, and spend time with my guy. I like to run and swim but I am too fat to do either one particularly well. Someday....I will be able to swim aaaaaaaaall day long like I used to.

And I go out to bars a lot. Does that count?

I do art everyday for hours but I try not to kill myself with it.

I do graphic/web design at work, then animation / illustration / design at uni, then at home I either do all of those for fun and personal projects, or watch TV with flatmates / play a video game.

I don't spend a lot of time with my gf despite the fact we work on personal projects in the same room. I'd like to spend more time going to the pool or something..

How can anyone ever get bored with art. I don't have enough time to do all the art I want to do. The only time I am away from thinking art related thoughts is when my responibilities pry me away at the threat of jail for not paying bills or taxes. I'm serious, even on here it is about the art.

90% of my time i'm doing art.
illustration, photography, graphic design, collage, motion graphics, playing guitar, bass, drums, singing, writng music, lyrics, poetry, short stories, etc....

but when i'm not doing any of the above you can find me either hiking with my dogs or down at the beach near santa monica pier doing the traveling rings and slack-line. and truth be told, doing the rings and the slack-line can both be considered an artform in the same way that skateboarding can. i dont personally feel as though i've reached artform status with the rings, but with the slack-line i do.

Trying to picking up imaginary women, and having them say no.

I don't do art professionally or art school, so when I'm not drawing or fancy a change of pace, I write novels. Never really tried to get anything published, though.

I've been trying to pour as much time into art as I can lately but when I'm not doing that I work at a grocery store. As much as I'd rather be doing art I have to admit that interacting with the public gives me more drive to create somehow. I also like to read books and write music reviews (hence the Existence Establishment link in my sig) and have been dabbling with creating my own experimental music.

I also really love Oblivion and have been getting back into it to gear up for Skyrim...man November is going to be a challenging month artwise.

    A little tabletop wargaming.

Keeping weird pets with more than four legs.

Cookery. I like indian mostly, and a bit of chinese and italian (one Christmas I asked for a pasta machine for polymer clay, only the model I received seemed too expensive and high-quality, so I kept it for actual pasta instead), though I like trying my hand at lots of stuff. Currently I'm getting handy with this bread malarkey, if I say so meself.
    ...which is only my opinion.
