Most of this is work from last year, High School finals and what not.
But the warrior of the forest was done last week for a teen challenge

Draw, sleep, repeat? You forgot "eat" in there haha.

Post some work in here and I can give you some feedback if you want. From looking at your tc entry and your da, I'd say that Bridgman will do you a lot of good. Also study some colour theory and do some colour studies from either photos or life.

Anyhow, just update this sketchbook regularly and draw everyday for as much as you can and you will be doing concept art in no time.

I suppose eating is kind of important too

Thanks for the feedback! I'm definitely keen on starting some work with Bridgman, his drawing style is incredible and I love to be able to draw figures so fluidly. As for colour theory I have no idea what to do haha, should I try paint things from life and that would make me naturally pick it up?

For colour theory huevaluechroma.com is very good, but a bit boring and some parts difficult read. If you can sit through it though there is a TON of fantastic info.

Other than that, yeah still lifes will help you to absorb information on how colour works.

Don't forget to apply the knowledge after doing a study--for Bridgman try some views of the limb or whatever you are studying from your imagination afterwards, or for a colour study try a painting with the same palette.

When I started doing Bridgeman studies I did so quite a lot like you are, with an emphasis on copying the cool drawing. It is important in your studies to also remember what the drawing was trying to do. In this case he is trying to show anatomy proportion and gesture. You are copying each pencil mark, but you are missing the forest for the trees. Worry a little less about adding shading and skin tones to the drawings and really focus on trying to get the proportions right and understand what the structure is doing. I am excited to see your next one.

Sorry for the extremely late reply, been drawing far less then I've hoped. I understand what you mean and I will definitely have to take it on board, so much work to be done
    Thanks!

Also I recently bought a whole bunch of CA videos!
That sale was so so amazing haha, and it coincided with getting paid for an album cover job so I went on a super duper online shopping spree

    Heres what I got:

    -From Ctrlpaint.com-
    Basic Photoshop Rendering
    From Grayscale to Colour

    -From The Art Department-
1-3 Vol of Character Design by Jason Chan
    Composition by Jason Manley
    Quick Sketching by Jason Chan
1-2 Vol Perspective by Carl Dobsky
1-2 Vol Portraiture by Zhang Lu and Jason Manley

I think they will satisfy my hunger for while haha
