Creature: Akora
Info: The Akora is the carnivorous inhabitant of many large cave systems. Commonly known as the "cave monkey", this creature is quite shy and has an amazing ability to blend into the surrounding terrain. Able to travel for many leagues underground using the special ability of traveling through the shadows, the cave monkey seems to have no natural predators. When injured in combat, it will extract parts of the cave wall and rebuild it's skin with it. Since it is able to blend successfully with shadows and rock, it is near impossible to detect when it doesn't want to be seen. Being shy, most of the talk about the cave monkey is based on folklore, rather than actual eye witness accounts. No information is given about the age of a cave monkey or their social structure.

Coming of the Darkness
Creature: Corpus Bug
Info: The Corpus Bug is a strange little insect. Using the "tentacle" attached to it's chest, the bug is able to capture a wide variety of insects by rapidly ejecting the "tentacle" out and attaching it to its prey. The end of the "tentacle" contains a highly sticky substance that is almost impossible to break. Once the Corpus Bug, captures its prey, the filaments attached to its face bore into the prey and drain the prey of all internal fluids. The fluids are passed internally to the egg sacks that the Corpus bug carries. Once the egg sacks are ready to "hatch", the children eat their way out of the Corpus Bug (Thereby, killing the parent) and feed on the parent's carcass.

The Kelp Dragon is an aquatic solitary dragon found in the Asiatic oceans. Feeding on a variety of fishes, this 5' dragon relies on stealth and striking speed to catch its prey. For much of its time, the dragon remains stationary in kelp beds. As fishes pass by its mouth, the head quickly strikes out and captures the fish. To swim as fast speeds along the ocean floor, the kelp dragon uses its powerful wings to "fly" through the water.
The infant kelp dragon is covered in a lot of various fibrous plant materials. Being an easy prey for many of the predators, this dragon spends almost all of its time hiding in the kelp gardens and other mossy areas. Relying on its mother to bring food, this dragon spends most of its childhood hidden, with occasional time for play and learning to hunt. As the dragon matures, more of the fibrous material falls off of the dragon, underwater wings begin to sprout, and some of the larger tendrils stiffen (for protection and blending purposes).
Creature: Snow Chameleon
Info: The Snow Chameleon is a mid-size dragon that inhabits the far reaches of the north. As a solitary hunter, it can blend smoothly with the rocks and snow fields when hunting prey. Preferring warm meat, it can survive the winter months by slowly digesting meat within its stomach and using that heat to warm up the snow as it uses snow for liquid refreshment.

Creature: Diatom
Info: The Diatom is a mouse variant that expressed great interest in magic. However, the obsessive use of magic eventually leads the Diatom to lose its hands and, eventually, its body and legs. Eventually, it will have to use the magic to create or summon other creatures to do simple tasks that were done through the use of its hands. Tasks such as eating or bathing all must, eventually, be done with the aid of another. They, however, do not see this as a hindrance. Rather, they see it as a badge of honor.

The Mandigoth is a fairly loathsome creature with a unique hunting habit. Preying on small mammals and lizards, this humanoid creature slowly sneaks up on the unsuspecting prey an engulfs them in its cage-like mouth. Crawling on all fours, the Mandigoth can rapidly expand its mouth to enclose the prey. As the mouth resumes normal size, a set of acidic tongues neutralizes the prey for ingestion.
