Hi there, you should really work more on anatomy and proportions. The face drawing looks very disorted. your second drawing looks find to me, but don't take my word for it, I can't really judge your second drawing too well.

I agree, you should have a look at anatomy, and construction as well.

that said, I think the linework and shapes in the 2nd post are quite good. definitely a good start

Thanks guys! You are definitely correct. I'll try to squeeze in some anatomy studies. I'm not quite sure what you mean with 'construction'.

I managed to compile the animation branch of my drawing program and made my first animation.

Also began to copy Loomis' mannequin.

    Nice animation.
Do you know where to find the animation branch? I saw it once but can't remember where.
    Gonna tray it out.

    Thanks!

I got it from Popolon. Remember that if you are using linux, you can't have a copy of mypaint in /usr/bin/ when you run this branch. At least that's what Popolon told me on irc.

    Thanks!

Animation is fun but very time consuming if you try to do it properly. Probably a good exercise though, to make hundreds of drawings of the same object from different angles.

    Hey there
I like those anatomy studies you just did, they are quite good. I am pretty jealous of your line quality.

Keep studying, it looks like you are doing well

You've got a good sense of perspective, I think it's just putting the time in with anatomy studies that will bring your work up. Your doing that so the only advice I have is carry on .
The creature in post 6 is adorable, to start. The nose is a good idea to practice fallow through. My crit for your animation is that you should push your arcs. Remember you have 3 dimensions to work with, even though it's 2D.
Here I drew a quick box form. The first is yours, a simple left to right. The second is a suggestion of a more dynamic arc.
Look forward to more studies, keep on trucking
