Hey razz, hope you dont mind, but i did a quick paintover of your child thief piece as i wasn't sure how to crit it without visual aid. I moved the arms because, even tho your latest version felt much better then the previous, i still thought that that pose was kind of awkward, i also added some hair because the head felt a little flat on the top and lastly i moved some branches here and there. On the colours, i decreased the overall green tint a little, and added some saturation to make it stand out a little more.

PolarPear, thank you for the kind words!

Ja1307, thanks so much! This illustration is starting to look the way I want my work to look like. Some more work left to be done.

G@m, wow, thanks for taking the time to do an overpaint, helped a lot! I've already worked on it, but no update in this post, still needs some lovin' and perhaps I'll post what I think will be a finished one. I especially like what you did with the background. Will be keeping my pose though. I like that it's not the kind of pose you see all around.

Made a concept that I will be creating in 3D, must practice!

Like the action and perspective in this latest one you have a good eye for composition. What kind of painting style is that background in or is it a 3dcreation. not so clued up about digital stuff but it does not look like regular digi painting but it works. You are improving a lot in terms of your ideas. Keep pushing.

Ja1307, thanks, mate! It's 3D, with post production (mainly smoke) in Photoshop. Glad you like it ;]

    lionheartGFX, haha, thank you ;]

I guess I'll call this one finished. I could work on it forever, but it's time to move on to something new.

damn that elf piece was so awesome it reminds me of the mtg cards love the colours and details, you could have incorporated some dust in the direction of the characters jump to get more action but im sure you are happy the way it turned out so onwards to better things! merry xmas and happy new year razz

Lionheart, there's always room for improvement ;] Working on another piece already, fuck yeah! Thank you for the feedback, I'll keep it in mind. Happy new year!

Update! Some more work on the new illustration and then schoolwork. We have working on storyboards this past week, I'm showing just a tiny bit of those here, but there's not much to look at. Next week is design, loads of hard work, but I will hopefully have some cool stuff to show after.

Awesome stuff, those still lives are really great, the colors are so vibrant.
Looking forward for more, and subscribed!
    My journey

“I’ve just neverbeen good at drawing _____, so I never draw ______.” This is a circular logic offailure that a person will never escape. If you wish you were better at drawing _______, draw it!
If you aren’t very good at _______, and avoid it, you’ll never getbetter at drawing _______! This attitude is setting yourself up for a lifetime of nevergetting good and enjoying _____.

Yogeshj, I'm quite new to environments, glad you like it!

Rastaray, do you mean the elf archer in the first post or the dude with two swords? I like the one in the first post, planning to paint it someday perhaps, but the guy with two swords just lacks something and I can't quite tell what...Thanks for stopping by and the encouragement!

Great sketchbook mate, seems like you can work in a load of different styles. The still lifes, cartoon self portrait and the ghost pirates are all awesome. The SP in the first post is stunning too.

woa, this last page is like BOOM. I was cheking your stuff and the last post have really made an impression on me. The last still life looks freaking amazing, I'm more of a fan of loose stuff and I like it best amongst the three. And the last movie studies are ROCKING seriously. Specially the V from Vendetta, man that one, you totally nailed it dude, keep it coming, I'm eager to see what's next!

Suira, thanks for the kind words! I'm real happy you enjoyed it. I'll try and keep impressing ;] Cheers!

Woah dude, that's a hard one! Totally nailed it. I find specially hard to nail the likeness in this kind of thing and you just did it. I really prefer paintings like this, really fluid and on spot, it's amazing. Oh and thanks for the sugestion man, helped tons!

Suira, glad it helped! Everything gets hard when you only have an hour to paint, but it does help concentrate on the important stuff. I enjoy giving myself this deadline with these. Otherwise I would just spend hours on it and detail them out and there's no need for that ;]

We will be modelling a character for a project at school and I've started sketching out some designs. Just real fast for now, exploring the look I want. Going for sci-fi, future bounty hunter I think. Suggestions!?
