Here's the last ones for a while. The eye and horse are stylization projects I am working on, the digital one is just a sketch from a reference, I wanted to play with, I added the environment and tried for the character to fit well in it. Maybe with some critisizm, I would make that into a finished piece. Enjoy!

Some stuff from the last couple of days.

First a figure study I did for 30 mins. It was preceeded by the ink sketches which took about 10 mins.
Next is another one from life - Took about 30 mins.
The next two are some studies from photos I did tonight, inspired from other people's sketchbooks.
Last one is an oil sketch I did a couple of days ago, which took me 3 hrs.

Nice work. Your sketching is very well developed, and those last few life drawings are looking quite accomplished.

I think if you edit your first post so the top attachment is the picture you want as your thread icon, it'll automagically become your thread icon. I have deleted all of my original first post attachments and I just attach the single picture, which works quite well.

I've drawn for maybe 3 years, more seriously, but the last two I study graphic design and visual comunication in a local university, where we have drawing and painting classes. I am not very pleased with the professionalism of most of my teachers, but my drawing and painting tutors are good and give valuable feedback.
First I started going to tutoring sessions for about 2 years, once a week. Back then I was still in high school, studying maths and informatics, so not much time for drawing. Then I prepared myself and applied to university.

First Is my exam work on perspective. Nothing impressive.

Second is a sketch I did awhile ago.

Third and fourth are a couple of stylizations I am doing on a project I work on.

Critics are strongly adviced!!! I'd apreciate some.

I love this one, great colors and nice brushing, I love the lost edges, solid looking anatomy and dream like mood. You seem to be at a good speed with the anatomy studies too. Some of them have slight structure problems like facial features not following a straight center line or the basic framework being slightly off but those will get fixed with practice so keep at it! I don't know if you're familiar with George B. Bridgman's books but if you aren't, he's got a great way of teaching the forms of a human body in a way that empathizes thinking about form in simplest terms before going to detail. I think his Complete Guide is a must-read for anatomy enthusiasts.

Looking at your work in Deviantart, you seem to be able to get a really solid feel on the anatomy with the longer poses. Great legs especially, on this one, this one and this one. Wish I could draw as correct looking feet as you some day. This face also has loads of depth.

ur stylizations pictures are really great.. specially being a graphic designer i love this kind of illustrations.. i adore it.. and im glade ur mixing up mediums.. pencils , oil , digital.. i like the digital of a women on bed.. i would loved if u gave it more details.. (classical style) .. unless u meant to do it in impressionism way... then its just fine ... great job so far

Some more coming first six are from my first (and former) paper sketchbook.

Good news is I just finished my second sketchbook, and I'm on to another one!

These are from the last couple of days.
The hands are studies from Hogarth's book, and the last two pages are pure observation.

The ink ones in the end are when I went on a frenzy while travelling from home to my place in Tarnovo, where I'm to university. The were made in a matter of an hour and a half.

Last two were made while waiting in a dentist's. They're scribbled on the back of bank receipts

Those are some really good hands. I think the upper torso of that man among them is pretty good as well.

How long does it typically take for you to go through a sketchbook, out of curiosity?

It took me about 3-4 months it has 110 sheets, and I've drawn most of them both sides (I know it isn't good). I know it sounds pretty slowly, but given I have a pile of univerisity assignments and classes, It's pretty fast actually. I started sketching more the last month, because I had more time on my hands. And as of lately I am not very pleased with university and am going to concenrate on self-education.

Today I took my girlfriend to a nearby town, for a hike, and it was really beautiful - we went around old houses, we climbed a fortress wall, and in the end we went to the zoo. I swear, I could stay there and draw for a century. First thing, when weather warms up a little is for me to call some friends and take them to a plain air session in this town. I was very sad today, because it was around 0 C and I couldn't draw at all on the open. I did this one sketch of a beer glass, for around 40-50 mins., while waiting for our train back.

Ooh, wonderful pears! If I may ask, how did you go from the blue to the green in the next shot?

I had difficulty with that, I am used to using the Color blending mode, on a separate layer in Photoshop, but lately I work solely in Painter and there my aproach is this - I make the monochrome underpainting - the blue image, and then use low opacity tools like oils, chalks and charcoal, to enrich the palette with other colors. In oil painting this process is called glazing - you put thinned layers of paint, which just change the hue and saturation, not the lightness of the layers lying under.

Some works from the last days. I've been working on one of my anatomy sheets, which proves to be slow, because I'm trying to give it simple and uniform rendering, so that it is very easily comprehensible - like a technical drawing. Made with mech pencil and plain one.

I tried to do couple of character concepts - they're my first attempt at this, so I'm not too pleased, but it's a start, somewhere I can build from. The characters are based on Pirates of the caribbean protagonists - Jack Sparrow, and Will Turner. Done with pencil, fine line marker, couple of grayscale markers and one round black marker

Hey Alex thanks so much for your kind comments in my sketchbook. I've really enjoyed looking at yours and you have a good variety of works. I especially like the pears and I find them interesting to draw as well. No crits just keep doing what you are doing because it isn't turning you into a skilled artist.

Wonderful hands. Your shading is beautiful. I'm not sure if it's just me, but the thumbs seem a bit pointy. You've obviously put a lot of work into those hands.

As for your pirates - great job on 'em! The top left one seems awkward with his positioning, but I love the detail you put into them.

Ok- this sheet ready - next are the major muscles of the arm and forearm. These are done in mech pencil and glazed with watercolor in order to differentiate tendons from muscle tissue.
And another stylization - soon to be vectored.
