Has anyone used Derwent Drawing Pencils?

What are your opinions on them?

I love the sepia colours that they have but I think they're too waxy for my taste and I can't seem to draw properly with them, but that could just be me not knowing how to use them correctly.

I've yet to use their Sepia series, they're hard to come by in the art stores here (Really want to try though)
I've used their Academy sketching pencils and would honestly swear by them.

    Art materials are entirely subjective.
A poor worksman blames their tools for their failure, afterall

Like 'em. I started out with black and a couple of browns, and eventually got the lot. Though I tend to stick to a few colours.
Took me a short while to get used to the waxy texture; but it works for me as I tend to sketch smaller than I should, which doesn't mesh as well with 'messier' media. That's something I'm working on.

Something I wonder is, are they basically oil pencils? Time I made an order anyway.

I can't seem to draw properly with them
Where are your drawings? Giz a look.

I find that they don't seem to blend at all, and once a line is down, it can't be lifted by an eraser. They feel almost like a wax crayon. But again, I can never be sure if it's my inexperience or if they actually are like that.

I'm just practicing a few head constructions, there isn't really much to see.
