Very credible Conan, particularly in the face.

Her face is beautifully drawn and painted as well, beautiful skin tones all the way through.

    Way to step up!

    Best,

Very nicely done, digging the color scheme alot.

I agree about his leg/knee fitting into hers, but it doesnt really take away that much, its still great!

Lovely work Patrick. The 'humanity' in this is very refreshing and apart from the beauty of the formal music of the bodies I am particularly taken with the way in which the these formal rhythms are continued into the sky cloud forms (but in a subtle, transformed way) - they partake of the spirit of the whole piece and intergrate as a formal overall unity rather than the disconected cheesy 'background' that one sees so often.

Very well rendered. The technique, and even the signature is slightly reminiscent of Frazetta!
"A drawing is not necessarily academic because it is thorough, but only because it is dead. Neither is a drawing necessarily academic because it is done in what is called a conventional style, any more than it is good because it is done in an unconventional style. The test is whether it has life and conveys genuine feeling."- Harold Speed

Awesome to see work like this still coming out. The pallet, the angle, the mix of soft and hard focus, the lightening...it's all great. It looks a little Frazetta inspired, but who isn't inspired by him? Miles ahead of the greased up models many artists use as reference (cough...Boris...cough).

Patrick, you really nailed Frazetta's style. I really loved it.

Instant classic! Conan comics led me to become an artist from a very early age!

Even though its not my stile, I would still love to be able to do things like that. I just made a test to paint humans, but compared to this... well, maybe you would be son kind and leave a comment ^^ Great work

Thanks Alexey. Thanks Vaejoun, I left a comment on your work; great lighting and mood I thought. I'm working on a second downloadable oil painting book which gives a detailed step by step process on the above Conan painting and will post here when it's done.
    Best regards,
