Okidoke, experimented with colouring in a couple of sketches I did not so long back. Need to really perfect the art of gradually blending colour in and making them look more realistic.

Hey J-Ace thanks for stopping by my sketchbook. I already see an improvement in the proportions of your figures. I think whats going to help you best is taking a sketchbook outside and drawing from life more to reinforce your concept ideation. Posemaniacs.com is a great site to do gesture drawing as well so you can work daily on your proportions and fluidity of your figures. Looks like you are most interested in an illustration career so I can't stress enough to solidify your foundations to give you the best chance of success. And as always keep exploring and experimenting, that's how you are going to grow best.
Thanks Ninjac, I really feel that I have actually lost my abillity to draw from life, my early still lifes were heads and tails above the one I shall upload now. I do however feel that I, like you, strive to evolve. Illustration is unbelievably tough to get into even with a degree and a portfolio.
I hope to see more updates of your sketchbook and keep up the good work.

Thanks Plissken! Glad you like.
Here is a couple more updates. Adding to more fan art is Ghost Rider and Omega Red. NOTED ARE: The right arm lifted needs equalizing, so its teh same depth/thickness as the left. Also the skull could have been shrank so its in corispondance to the rest of the body. Also noted is that a little more detail minus the black ink on the skull could have made it more cool looking!
Omega Red... where do I begin. The eyes are too close, the lower torse is just plain wrong, I should have ditched the cheesy smile. The anatomy could have done better and the splatter paint job could have been more succesfully applied.
Now that thats out the way... my other piece I did today. I actually prefer the sketched version but hey heres both.

Hey J-Ace, Some good updates. Yea sometimes you have set backs and feel like your drawing won't cut it but you can't let fear hold you back. Just gotta get out there and draw, draw, draw. I like how you are combining different ideas in your last few pieces but I think they need to be integrated better. So instead of two ideas next to each other they feel more intertwined. The buff dude with deer head could have patches of fur or human eyes, or hooves for hands, stuff like that. Check out http://www.artsyposes.com/index for more gesture ref.
Thanks Ninjac I just checked out that website, it looks fantastic! I know what you mean and also when you mentioned 2 ideas that need to be integrated into eachother the deerman thing was just a quick idea i had but yeah I know what you mean with more to it, I could have potentially added fur where need be and explore more with that but again its a confidence thing with the texture of fur. I have seen many people being able to hand render hair with thin pencil strokes but doing it myself its solid! As you will see with my next upload...
The first Im not too particularly fond of the texture/ tonal range.
The girls I like the blue hair and the left body. I HATE the red hair it just seems dead, with a splash of acrylic on. BUT the blue is actually blue ink so it made more shades. The red however... well! you can see!

I have managed to do a fan art of Android 17 from Dragon Ball fame. Also a couple of illustrations. Speaking of which I have recently started to use Illustrator and have done a vector of an old design of Dr Doom. However, I am struggling with this programme! So any step by step tutorials would be appreciated!!!!

My friend, you rarely update,
but when you update, I can feel the
foundation rocking. Some improvements
I have seen right away from my watchtower.
Swift and neat crosshatchings and you are
just a true master when it comes to contrast
job. What I would like you to do is to keep
up your awesome valuable work, and to update
more often. Take care till the next time buddy.
Thanks Plissken! Your comments, as you know, are most valued. I do take into consideration your critiques, that being said I have continued a blend of both traditional crosshatching and water colours/ink with these next pieces.
Till next time folks!

http://www.conceptart.org/showthread.php?t=267414 - c&c welcome
Mister always stay puffed Marshmallow man is looking
at you proud from a stable ground. Like a cat in the attic,
swift and slick you sometimes bring us some valuable things,
just like Santa through the rusty chimney. Proud is the
audience now, I am proud, looking at Elle Driver from Kill
that Bill. She could do wonders with her hips. Bent over like
a shotgun. The Silent Hill morbesque figure from our dreams,
she appeared once more from the darkness, with an overused
rusty knife. Krusty could never define the way that it’s so rusty.
Her breast size is on an admirable level, she could held and hide
things there even on broad daylight. Bright freshly made perfume
tallow, our new future will never be so shallow. The illustrational
qualities of yours have been risen a few notches above, you are
good, you are doing great. Just one page for an update, will
be enough to put on a small girls face and eyes another fresh smile.
This project depicted poems and illustrations, hand in hand, working collaboratively for an exhibition I put on recently. The illustrations and overall theme was depicting circus acts in various positions. The original intention was to have each character digitally imposed into the crowd design. However the images are strong enough now to stand alone.

You are absolutely right, the last pieces are strong enough to stand alone, each one of them.
The subliminal message that you are transferring through these drawings are priceless, and
I feel the surprise behind and outside of them. The observers could always wonder and ask
themselves for the back story for each of these characters. My favorites are the tied up ones,
and I can feel some claustrophoby and healthy spirit deep within. Chained gas masked male
is outstanding and the strait-jacket female is scary scary. I would really like if I could have
witnessed your exhibition, cause that could been a fantastic experience. All this time that
you’ve put in these drawings will come and pay back with huge dividends. You’ve already
created a strong soul food for the withering human race. Big respect for all this, great job,
fantastic ideas and tremendous emotional power. Do keep up with your indestructible desire.
