100 faces of mäscheti (Nr. 19, Gambit - check!)

hey guys, long time no see!

i started a new private project for 2011: i want to draw at least 100 different versions of myself (sci-fi-, fantasy- and movie-characters included

) the goal is, that i have to remain recognizable in every piece! for this reason i'll show you first a picture of myself ...

i made a zombie-version of myself, because i love zombies since the first resident evil game was released

maybe this is how i would look like as a zombie...

gute idee für ein sicher lehrreiches projekt...am besten find ich bis jetzt den vampir, bei den anderen find ich würd ein wenig mehr kontrast zu fromdefinition nicht schaden, besonders beim italiener (dessen pose wiederum sehr cool ist)
bin schon gespannt auf die nächsten!

Sehr witziges und lehrreiches Projekt, bin gespannt wie es weiterhin verlaufen wird!
Hast du eigentlich vor, nur in schwarz/weiß bzw. monochrom zu arbeiten, oder wirst du auch Portraits in Farbe einfließen lassen?

Bin auf jeden Fall schon gespannt auf die nächsten Portraits!

Übrigens: Mein Favourit ist der Zombie... aber ich bin in der Hinsicht etwas voreingenommen, da ich Zombies liebe! hehe...
Mir gefällt allerdings der Ausdruck im letzten Portrait sehr gut!

Danke für den Kommentar! Ja, ich hab auch vor Portraits in Farbe zu machen, ich denke da zb an eine Pharaonen- oder Avatar-Version... das wirkt in schwarz-weiß einfach nicht so gut!
hehe ja, Zombies sind klasse! Vor allem zum zeichnen - sie bieten so viele Möglichkeiten

thanks for the comment! the question was if i'm going to make some colored portraits too... so, yes, i want to make an avatar-version for example and this would look boring and unreliable without colors

oh, and Caboodle likes zombies

Woah, hab ja ganz schön was verpasst!

Mir gefällt das Fuck j..you! - portrait - Tolle Kontraste, vor allem auf die Hände und das Gesicht bezogen.

Bei dem Einstein-Portrait würde ich gerne einwerfen, dass Haare meist effektvoller oder realistischer wirken, wenn nicht jedes Haar quasi einzeln gezeichnet wird, sondern man sich sozusagen von sehr groben Strichen zu etwas feineren vorarbeitet. Ist aber nur ein Tipp meinerseits.

Bin gespannt auf die nächsten!

you guys know the movie "machete" and its main character "danny trejo" right? of course you know

i like this actor because he has such a distinctive face, so i made a portrait which shows you a fusion between me and him!
it was fun to draw the scars and all the other unique features! i also colored this portrait cause i think its time for development!

this piece took me three days and it was very challenging to fit the different light sources to my face, but it was fun too

although i haven't seen the movie yet, i like that style and that was reason enough to make a tron-version of myself!

furthermore i changed the logo to my name and the city in the back is my hometown vienna

Great idea, and i hope you stick with it, very different submissios each time as well!!

My only suggestion is to watch the proportions of your face, eyes specifically, and I'd also suggest doing side, tilted back, etc... profiles so you're really capturing every aspect so you can learn even more from it.

here is a small update - it was just an exercise to get a feeling for persepctives and proportions and is not part of this project! portrait nr. 12 will be online in the next three days!

Really nice idea! I actually feel envious that I didn't have an idea like that haha! actually, today I made my first self portrait... Nothing compared to yours, but in time and some hardcore practice, I'll improve. Incredible work so far, very creative ideas flowing here. I'll keep an eye on this thread.

of course you will improve - as you said, it's only a question of time and practice! my first portrait looked more like a creature than a real portrait, so keep your head up
