I saw a beautiful woman standing in the surf, her long legs ploughing foam-churned furrows in the kneedeep swell.
She was bare breasted and carried an infant in her arms. She was alone except for the child, which was dozing with his chin on her shoulder. "Where is your husband?" I asked, the water darkening my jeans
and making them heavy and cold. When she turned to me her face seemed to crumple for a moment as if with pain or grief, but quickly blazed with a hot contemptuous smile.
"This is my husband," she said, "He was a champion swimmer. He was famous, he appeared in a Guiness advert. He swam so much the sea washed 25 years off him."
"Thats absurd," I said, "why would you say something like that?"
"To make you leave me alone," she said.

Oh man I saw one with vomit...It that you? I thought they were hugging something but then closer observation got the better of me.

I love the look of damaged photos they always damage so nicely.

My cat vomited on my final year 7 group photo and the only head that didnt fade was mine and some of the cat fluff covered some peoples groins. Couldn't have asked for a more perfect mistake. Lol

So, I`ve been visiting your SB incognito ever since you started it (I keep telling people I`m sneaky, but do they listen? NO.), and what I can say is...I`m really, really, really, REALLY confused. In a really, really, really, REALLY good way. You are playing with abstract shapes here with such courage (coughcough*balls*coughcough), I`m just...wow. Also, your sketches (anatomy, portraits) are really starting to come along (lately I`ve been getting more and more sense of structure in them, so keep pushing that), and your 3D work...darn...I`m jealous. You actually have the ability to set up a scene with specific materials (wood, stone, glass, mirrors, metal) and specific lighting (night, day, diffuse, specular, ambient occlusion, blah blah blah), render it and have some decent looking study material without having to browse through vast depths of the net in search for an image...God, I wish I could do that

So, anyways, yea...I think you get the point. Just keep posting here, and be careful not to get lost inside your own mind (it looks a bit scary in there, you know *.*)

Bruce: ok see what you think of this, my thinking behind those wierd wheel vehicles is: its 2051, the worlds fair, rather than a palace you get a fleet of country cruising giant coach things full of partying, glass bottom pools, the works, as well as displays of crazy new nano and biotech. after a few hours youve gone round the circuit and are back at Blenheim to demount and let the next lot of people board...

i think i mentioned it here already
the studio developing the game is Subatomic, who are an amazing bunch
and Randis, who you know is a good guy, who handled the GUI and backgrounds and low poly.
i did all the little yellow items under their direction
afterward i lost my ancient hard disk and lost all the work :/
so here are some grabs of the game instead, and some crummy early pen drawings
aanyway, point is its free, and i think theres an iphone version now, so check it out!

Quite beautiful in idea and execution. Clean.
Love the watches, and pens. Excellence in your work. Now have an inkling leaning towards learning 3DMax at some point.

figure drawing legends are like buses, they sometimes come in twos; you guys, Colin, AFF, are making pretty much the best life drawings Ive ever seen, youre a constant inspiration, i look through your threads regularly, along with Mydrims and a couple of others, at times with a literally open mouth at the seriousness of your mission and the subtlty of your lines.. for you both to comment was a sucker punch and totally made my week.
youre everything i love about CA & i am so glad to have met you and seen how it can be done.
