My Blog
Destroy your weaknesses! theres nothing more to it! stop bitching grab that pencil and sketch Away!
@Denzel, thnx so much slowly getting it!
@LionheartGFX I'm trying so hard to get better but my photoshop skills are still bad.
More muscle
Not sure where I'm going wrong!
The pectorals stop at the collar bone which his lower, also there's a dip in front of the trapezius, and the serattus anterior doesn't go all the way down into the obliques like that, also the obliques should be a little meatier than the serattus. Try to allow a little room between the pectorals and the rectus abdominals for the rib cage
Also the tricep on the left side looks weird
But your very very close
This ones much better than the other one.. Pay closer attention to the collar bone and the deltoids, I think if you work on that you would have it. The bicep wraps under the pectoral and deltoid kinda like its going into the armpit (well technically only one of the 2 bicep brachii heads do) just work with it and kinda check with your own anatomy and you will figure it out
Last few days of sketching
@Anthony, thnx for the help Will try another study soon.
! these two are very nice! i really dig that bug-eyed dude! your attention to dimension in the small details makes for a very nice touch.
your figure studies are coming along nicely. your faces seem distant in their expression, but it seems like in these last few months you've made a nice amount of progress on the anatomy.
where did all those awesome trolls and monsters go???
Study of a Sargent painting wip.
Calling it a day on the study.
It’s clear you’re working hardI’d recommend trying some still life painting to help with your colours etc. I’m also attempting to get better at using Photoshop at the moment and I found them to help
Keep going! I’m looking forward to seeing more.
Few character ideas from this week. Working on another study but a long way from showing it.
@AngeUnge: I've been trying to get more life into my faces but its hard going. Will try better.
@SophieW: Yeah still lifes would help but its hard to find a few hours to sit and paint.
Just a few sketches.
Another master study.
Another study
Looking better and better I think. Keep up the good work! No constructive criticism at the moment though, sorry about that.
Another study for the weekend
@Polly; thnx for looking at my work.
More sketches.
Lookin good here. Lotsa skills, variety and hard work. Congrats! I also think you would enjoy studying the work of Glenn Vilippu, Michael Hampton and Mike Matessi, for the development of your ability to draw human figures from your imagination. Live long and prosper. Well done on a great sketchbook!
