So here is the start of my sketchbook. Decided to do this to improve my art in 2011. I will hopefully be updating this daily.

Just some human studies and a study a horse. I have come to realize that I have only ever really drawn humans. Gotta start working on my animals and environments a bit more.

Did not update yesterday even though I did work. This one piece is killing me. Can't seem to get the hand right. If anybody has any suggestions that would be great.
Some more studies
Because these are from yesterday I will probably update again later today.
best advice for that hand would be to do some lower arm and hand studies. Your wrist connections are kinda vague. It's not enough to say it connects to the arm towards the end of the skinny side. It will help a lot.
Also when doing clothes remember that clothes have their own structure- seams and connections. A sleeve doesn't connect to the same place an arm does- the shoulder goes past the arm, the sleeve connects lower down on the torso- just google jackets and take a look at the construction.
You've got a pretty good foundation right now- it's time to get out the anatomy books and start refining your knowledge of the little connecty bits and structure, and wrangle in your line quality.
Your first draft doesn't need to be clean and shiny (mine certainly aren't)- but once you've worked out the logistics it helps to create a new layer and refine your lines.
Thanks a lot you are a big help.
And yeah I need to pick up some more anatomy books cause I lost the ones I had when I moved. I have been trying to draw from references a lot more than I used to.
Animal studies
face studies

Hey nice start to a sketchbook. Only thing I can say is keep practicing anatomy and try out some life studies. I find the best anatomy books are Bridgemans collection or Hogarth's.
Keep updating
Always looking for feedback, so feel free to stop by any of these, cheers.

Sorry for not updating lately. I have been rather sick for the past few days. I have been doing some pen and paper hand studies and such while in bed but without a camera or scanner I can't upload them. Here is some of the things I have done on the computer in the past few days.

Some more work and progress. I now have a camera so I will get around to posting some of the more traditional studies I do.

Been a while again. At some point I should stop being lazy and photograph my sketchbooks to put up here. I do most of my life drawings in there. Here is just a bunch of images I have done. Big update. Some have been posted elsewhere.

You can see some serious progress in your work, keep it up. You should take a softer approach with rendering faces.
