So here is my 1 week late photo study. Matty and I have been working on the same photo separately and his came out with good results. Now we have to work on an illustration based on the photo study...so it's going to be quite exciting (...for not saying challenging!)

    Nice stuff in here.
I like the big environment, with the Hell vs Heaven feel in it.

2cent: seems like you put to much of an highlight on your portrait studies, the skin has a plastic feel to it. The skin seems strained.

did some studies of the same snowymountain photos as you did
one suggestion: why doing only studies of photos - try some masterstudies?

First one is a quick concept sketch of a TV set for a sport game show taking place in Nigeria. It was requested by a friend who is working for the company "Capstone sport" and who needed a rough visual of what could be the new set. This was a great opportunity to have a go at something I never done before despite the fact that the whole project never saw the light. Anyway I felt like sharing this with you.

Following are some concept sketches and the caricature of a very good friend of mine which I painted and offered as a gift.

Following is my Tribute to the London 2012 olympic/paralympic champions. I worked on this personal project several months ago which consisted of making the portraits of some of the main athletes who have marked this year olympic events. Living myself in London, I found this summer games so exhilarating. The nation's mood was so lifted and I have to say it was a great feeling to experience.

I am going back to my studies and I really want to be more consistant this time. This Chapter I is tonal values. I thought for this evening about giving a quick go at those MMA pic refs which are very popular subject of studies, here in CA. At this time I am not so happy with the work done. I am still struggling with simplifying my strokes and I continue to spend to much time for producing a piece like this one with the help of photo ref.

Whoa man, there's a lot of really tight work here! I really loved the painting with the guy in the sea with impending doom. Great narrative. And your anatomy is solid. Keep it up!

Patram... after seeing your sketchbook yesterday. You have to upload some of your new stuff. You have made a lot of progress compared to your previous sketches.

Thanks Chips for your comments... That picture about the man in the water came up from a very horrific vision i had once while i was suffering the hell from a migraine.... as if the migraine was not enough! Haha, thank you for the compliment but my anatomy is far from being solid.

Hey Sapeleboy, I will maybe upload some stuff from my moleskine. Maybe I will try to work them out a bit in PS. Thank you so much for noticing some improvements. As you know, I still have a lot of mileage before getting where we want to be.

And now a quick creature design. I will try to make a series of them if the time allows me...
