Hey I am Patrice....I think there is a time when frustration has come to its limit, coz some of you guys have been motivating me like crazy with your inpiring art work! Becoming part of the CA community has appealled me for way too long and therefore... here I am!!

I am really determined to progress and master my skills and your crits and comments are more than welcome for helping me. So no mercy...Be bold with your crits and comments.

hey, It's been quite a while since my last updates (in fact I recall that previously were my first and only updates in this SB) but this is going to change. I realised that the reason why I wasn't updating so much wasn't because I didn't work my ass off as I promised myself to do but because of the silly reason that I was too embarrassed to show my work...fussing about exhibiting only my best pieces.
I want to improve big time so as from now on I will show the good and the very bad (it's going to be tough but I am ready for it...)

The first updates are more studies from Hogarth and some head studies from Loomis.

The last pictures are some sketches for CHOW. The first two never reached the poll cause I missed the deadline. I am quite good at missing the deadline of the character challenge. However, I managed to finish the last one on time...
CHOW # 230 - Rangda the Demon queen: I spent too much time in rendering values and gor completely stuck when it came to apply the colour with overlay....(sigh!) I think it had some potential...if someone is willing to colour it and show me how they done it...it is all yours.

CHOW # 239 - The War Criminal : Lots of fun and happy to have been able to complete it on time... Disappointed though, on how I rendered the cloth, hands and some background beats...(No other way, Gotta learn!)

'Ello there! Really loving those faces, some nice concepts too.

And, I have to say it, that is the most badass fairy princess I have ever seen.
No crits from me, I'm afraid. Just keep up the good work.

your digitals are great! though i'm much more impressed by your studies in your sketchbook, they have a really nice quality feel to them. Any advice regarding your shading technique? For that matter, any advice regarding anything is more than welcome!

One thing I did notice on one of the enviro studies the one with the clouds over a landscape. The ones in the background look great but it feels like the clouds nearer to the foreground seem as if lying on the ground itself rather than floating several thousand feet above it. Its a minor problem but I find that a critique is always more welcome than just a few compliments Keep it up mate!

Here is my new update. Some environment study with help of reference and some texture to add "a bit of a punch" to it. Completed in 1h30. Still relatetively slow, but at least I consider it finished for a sketch ( not like most of my previous ones...).
