I like the expression in your lines and how you convey form. The softness is beautiful. Keep going!
I love these. please keep posting.

nice ones!
i'd maybe watch your outlines, you tend to keep those very hard and not very gestural in a lot of cases - especially obvious on the shadowed leg of the running woman. those lines could be a lot looser

neon duck: Thank you for pointing that out... i think gestures start to look stiff when you spend too much time looking at the drawing rather than the model.. I will be more mindful of that now!

Wow, these are AMAZINGG. Seriously, very very good work man.
I love how your incorporating tones into your gestures as well, I can never get the hang of putting tone into gestures, Im guessing it helps being able to make those big flat tonal marks.
What are you using for these? theyre quite small too; correct?
Keep up the great work, definitely subscribed.

PHATandy: Thank You! I'm glad you enjoy them! As far as materials, i am working simple and cheap.. just some pitt pressed charcoal (medium to soft) sharpened to a long point on a sanding stick, on 18x24 newsprint, all on an eisel so i can stand and draw big sweeping marks with my whole arm, elbow, and wrist combined. These are actually quite big, a few of them i've had to stitch together two images in photoshop... too large for the scanner... When i get some lighting equipment, i am going to take photos of some work in color... acrylics, pastel, oil etc. Cheers!
O and when i add big tones i like to relax my eye, so that the core shadow areas simplify, then i just lay in the simple shapes i see with the flat edge of the charcoal, as you've mentioned.

These are really strong! You say you are drawing way more than this...so why don't you post it as well? I am very curious to see what else you can do as you clearly know how to draw.
Also, any tips on gesture? You seem to have it down pretty well.
