Seven Years of work...a part (Assassin's Creed, Prince of Persia...)

    Hello,

For a long time I'm watching all the crazy stuff posted, shared by talented artists in this forum, probably since i'm working in the game industry. That means around seven years (as time flies ).
Anyways, it's time for me to jump in the arena.
Hope you will enjoy part of my work.

For information: communication images I did often used 3D models from the production team, and some pieces were created with the collaboration of other artists from my team or production team (ex for background or specific stuff, props...). So I will try to precise their name when necessary. Thanks to them anyway.

And finally, sorry if I wrote something strange or incomprehensible...i'm just ...french

    So by game:

Fantastic. I feel the first piece is a little weak, not enough contrast, over-reliance on that blur effect, but everything else is stellar!

WOW! Love it! Your work on Assasin's Creed is amazing! Part of the reason I decided to try the second one was the visuals... Tell me you used Z-brush on that Splinter Cell pic??? AMAZING 3-D render!

    Thanks for the welcome gentlemen

HULKfish: No Z-brush. My work on Hi Resolution picture could be assimilated to matte-painting even if it's usually linked to background/landscape images, I'm using part of the technic.
I'm not really a 3D user. I often start from it, posing of the character, quick basic lighting (intention), push some textures if necessary direct on 3D model and correct mesh quickly, but the big part of my work is in 2D (photoshop).
For example, in the Splinter Cell picture, the only part which is still 90% 3D is the gun...75% in fact.
I play a lot with 2d textures and brushes, I shoot part of texture myself (photography). I recreate the feeling of 3D in photoshop. And I paint a lot.
Finally it's a huge remix for this king of piece !

Thujon: (part 2 ?) I'm working on ! Maybe during the next week.

I would love to see a tutorial on any one of your pieces, especially one of the more realistic ones, just to see how you incorporate the textures and things into the painting. Fantastic work!

Merveilleux !

    Thanks all !

Snatti : average time on Hi Res images : mmm....It's usually around two weeks of work, not full time (sometime yes, sometime more), but with customer's feedbacks, tests, depending of the number of character and complexity of the concept (background...), what I have in my hands when I start (quality of the 3D model, ref...).

Ditlev: website ?: DONE ! I worked my entire sunday on it, i'm not fan of Dreamweaver, I just have some glimpses of my old courses. So, it's simple, sober, minimalist ...but it works ! I will modify it a little bit but later, I did enough code for this month.
You can find the link in my signature.
