kingkostas: Thanks a lot for your advice, I guess I do need to step back and concentrate more on value and basic forms, then once I have that I'll start integrating color and I'll definitely keep up the value studies too

Haven't scanned in any of my newer sketches yet, but I do have a wip of a self portrait I'm working on for class

Hey man, good to see lots of work being done here. You're gesture drawing is good, as are some of your observed life studies.

Think a little more in 3D with your anatomy / human forms, sorry, I know that sounds vague, but honestly, lots of things (lines/values) will become easier if you start to see the basic 3D shapes that make up people, and everything else. Also, use a bigger digital brush, take the size jitter off for now. And the best bit of advice I ever got - one idea, one mark ... really think about what each line or stroke of the pen is doing in your drawing, what shape is it describing, what form are you trying to make.

Kinda big update today, I'll start out with some recent sketches/ a few of the gestures I did today



Then some life drawing assignments on planar construction of the figure and light/form



and finally my "finished" self portrait, finished as in I'm sick of it and don't want to work on it anymore
