Bat creature bust and a lion.

Hi everyone, i can't remember if i posted the lion sculpt i did a few weeks ago.
So here's my latest personal work.

I used the new Monsterclay (prenium grade) from monstermakers.com for this one. It's a brilliant clay and highly recommended!
The sculpt is about 12 inches long.

This one is sculpted in WED clay , molded with silicone and cast in polyester resin.About 9 inches tall .

    Thanks for looking

Oh wow, your work is amazing. The expression in the lions' eyes is beautiful.

But my favorite is definitely the bat-man! It just looks like at any moment it's going to turn and blink its eyes and...I don't know, do something, come to life. It looks so realistic and alive, like a photograph of something living and not a sculpture. You did a fantastic job, and while I love the painted version, I almost don't know whether I like the painted one or the unpainted one better! These are gorgeous. I would love to see more from you. Thank you for sharing!

Gia so file Ari, needless to say how beautiful these sculptures are, you always come with amazing sculptures. But crazy paint job also, you manage to get that translucent effect that you get with your silicone sculptures also. Good job man.

The bat creature is definitely tops. The form is astounding, but what blows me away even more is the depth in your paint job -- the dewy texture of the skin, the highlights around the nose and bottom lip, the interior of the ears, need I go on? Any tips for helping to achieve that kind of luminosity?

WOW! THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH FOR THE WONDERFULL FEEDBACK!!!
I really apreciate it! It's also the kind of motivation i need to try and come up with something new and original each time!
I'll update my blog with pics of the progress of the molding and casting procedures.
Also check my blog to see the albino version of the bat creature. http://ariskolokontesart.blogspot.com/

I thought the paint job on the original bat creature was good but that albino version is awesome, I love how you can make resin look so life like.

Wow! Loving the bat creature thingy, it looks so real its kinda creepy, the eyes and ears are kind of memorizing! Detail is fab, if I can ask how long did they take you from start to finish?
A fan of your moody lion to though, as he looks most unamused of your bat.

    WOWEEE!
    Beautiful work...
What did you paint the resin cast with?
I've only ever sculpted in WED clay, made a fiberglass mould and filled with silicone... very interested in making the mould out of silicone and casting in resin! Any info would be greatly appreciated

    Once again... wow

Love the Fangalobolo. I'm talking to Scott Whitworth about it now. I'd love to hear a few tips on achieving the "albino" finish. Those eyes are amazing too.
