Hey Wing! Nice to see you again You have definitely improved since last time I checked your sketchbook. I can see a difference from the dynamic sketching as well! Your drawings have so much life in them, I think it is a matter of learning how to tame that energy and make it work for you.

I notice that a lot of your sketches are floating on the page without context. I know you're focusing on form, and by the way your animal drawings are just superb, but establishing a ground plane and horizon line early on can really help to make things clearer for you in your mind, and as a result the drawing will be clearer (I think Peter Han mentions this). The character and emotion in your drawings is really strong, a better knowledge & clear application of perspective might be what can take you to the next level.

I'm loving the color studies as well. You're definitely getting somewhere with those All the best, keep up the hard work!

    Kindly,
    Cedric

Who’s the one being such a hard woker lately? Who’s the one?
Yes, it’s you. Your amazing dedication and determination surfacing
at its highest brightness. So much drawings in such a short amount
of time. We should all take an example from you. Wonderful
animal drawings, just try to put more contrast in them. The
painting is also gorgeous, you just keep on overflowing the flow.

Post #246. shows some nice coloring. I also like the work you are doing showing
thumbnails or storyboards, as in post #247. I can really see the expressions in the
dogs. You also did a Ratatouille type thing in the beginning threads...

You already have some good advise given, but I'd like to point out the stuff that
seems to appeal to me...though I'm a noob...

Its back! This feeling I had before my birthday! My passion is back. I love it, I love it all! On my birthday I made the mistake of playing a game I got rid of so I could focus on art more. It resulted in me playing for 3 days on and off and feeling bad about myself, and just being a crappy person. It also took away that feeling. The little delightful burn I love. I just felt like wet flour, like floppy dough, that once place down slowly slides into place. But yeah i feel better now.

Yeah Wing! I would love to see more watercolor from you. You use it is such an interesting way that gives more life to your drawings compared to when you just use pencil. The pencil one are kind of flat and the watercolours are so lively and pleasing.

Say wingal do you have Art of animal drawing? Awesome book, it has great information, it easy to understand, and great illustrations.

I like the expressions of the characters, also add a bit of background on the standing characters, so they don't like they are floating in the air, just a lines nothing elegant .
Another thing is the scans are a bit too light. (don't worry I have the same problem, I gotta mess around with the settings.)

Great popcorn like sweet reformation all around, you’ve
started to shine as a soap in a bathroom towel. You did
blow the flow into some of those likeable animals, going to
get the hang of their anatomy more and more, and their feelings
and psychological state in their natural environmental habitat,
very good job on those all together. Your skype buddies are
helping you tremendously lately, and I have to tell you that
you did huge improvements on your speed paints. Step by
step, you are becoming an unmovable force, which will be
hard to dealt with in the end. Pleasurefull joy all around,
your positive mayhem has started to grind. Be good and do
things like this in the future, cause a true yellow bright
star is shining for you, under the Christmas sky.

in the name of all that is holy wingal you are WORKING YOUR ASS OFF lately man, i feel bad myself god damn you now i have to draw twice the shit im doing, BRING IT! hahahaha your mind eye its getting ALOT and i mean ALOT better theese days, i feel a breakthrough coming! change it up if you get tired, repetition can also be bad, always tickle your brain with as much stuff as you can and slowly the ammount of knowledge you can cram into a charcter..or a figure or an enviroment will increase!

all i can say is good luck man and dont get discouraged! every great artist was a really crappy one in the begining!

    cheers
