    @tulokyn: haha thanks ; u ;

    Ohkay so I attempted to gray scale that 3rd version ; n ; I suck at gray-scaling (and coloring) but I figured I'd attempt it again. [it's not finished obviously lol]

    I have some ideas for drawings buuuut...I'm terrified to draw in my moleskins OTL They're so pretty ; u ;

    I hope to draw many pretty things in this sketchbook ; u ;

    Oh btw the second one has been that WIP I've been working on ; n ; I'm not skilled enough to uhhhh...do what I wanted to do with this OTL So it's done for now until I learn more so I can finish this...

    I have no clue what I'm saying D: I don't feel good...I'm gonna go lay down and watch House ; u ;

    Hmmm...so I wanted to draw a pretty picture in my moleskin...but I didn't know what to draw. I was thinking about drawing my character Yuugi, but he didn't want to be drawn =_=;

    So I drew my coffee cup...

    There is no octopus on my coffee cup...it's actually Winnie the Pooh...but I like octopuses soooo ; u ;

    @ladyknowles: Thanks~!

    I got a question from someone on dA about how I hold my pencil when I draw @_@ I'm not sure how to answer it ; A ;

    I got a request over @ dA and I wanna do a good job on it. It's hard though since the ref I got was just the girl in a normal standing pose WITHOUT A FACE D:> I was searching through the person's gallery and favorites to see if I could find another picture of this lady but there is none D: So I don't know her personality OTL

    Here are some 'thumbnail' sketches for the request. During the third one I realised I was just drawing boring standing poses and thought about trying to push it a little and try and tell a story even though I know nothing about the character. I hope to do more sketches for this later today, got a final to study for though O_O

    There was a marathon of America's Next Top Model on...it was...inspiring ; n ; I'm gonna try and practice coloring digitally with these. Might do more of these types of sketches, they're quite fun.

    -I need to do more full bodies... ; n ;

    good studies so far buddy! i agree-- more full body studies plz... i shall do some too :U

    hmm.. not having that much reference for that DA request must be difficult on your part... hope you are able to get something done though! also, don't worry about putting 'perfect' drawings in your moleskines. just draw anything and everything!

    the whole torso and the forearms are to small in relation to the lower body, and the arm looks to thin but this could be a consequence of the overall size-issue.

    Where in the world is Carmen Sandiego?

    Seriously, where is she >_>;;; (the picture I drew with the sunglasses reminded me of that show lol)

    @Partisan: Ah thank you~ I'll be sure to play around with it and fix it >U<

    @Parsakoira: ; u ; Thank youu~ I'll work on my proportions D:

    I was really bored at work today so I went on shutterstock and typed in random words and drew some of the pictures I saw. I just drew like basic shapes and squiggles so that when I looked back, my mind would interpret it differently. Gonna use some of them(the one with the hearts next to them) as refs and stuff for some practice with digital coloring ; u ;

    (sorry some of them are really light)

    For some reason I draw more when I'm supposed to be working :/

    ALSO ALSO ALSO. Painter 11 arrived today. Super excited, but I'm waiting to install it, I wanna see if I'm gonna buy a laptop...Uhm...has anyone ever used a VisTablet before? >_>;;; I just got one and it keeps blinking OTL

    aahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh~

    I'll hopefully be back later with some digital coloring practices...or something ; u ;

    @jNeumann: Thank youu ; u ; I love octopuses haha~

    @LAsh: Thanks~! I also love looking at WIPs ; u ;

    @tulokyn: Thanks~ I never really liked drawing ladies, but now I love it ; A ;

    Here's an update ; u ;

    First one was done as a digital coloring practice, but I gave up. There's so much wrong with this picture haha~

    Next two are just quick sketches of ideas I had while at work (the second page of sketches got distorted during scanning ).

    Last one is a sketch for like a winter themed picture. Was supposed to be a cartoony self portrait but I made myself too cute D:>

    =_=;;;;;

    Thumbs up

    More kool stuff Sam, looks like you're developing your own style. Keep at the figure work before diving into the colour stuff on painter, do lot's of black and white value studies on your figures.

    Oohhh oops ; n ; I started this next pic before I read your comment, Jay-Arr D: BTW speaking of values, after you put down the black and white stuff how do you put color over top of it? ; ____ ; I can't figure it out OTL Thanks btw I appreciate it >U<

    Here's that one sketch that was in the last post. I re-drew it digitally and am now starting to color. I kinda like it. It's fun coloring ; u ; I'm still working on her hair/face D:

    Her neck might be a bit long @_@ I think it looks alright though...?

    Your digital line quality is much better than your moleskin one. Avoid hairy lines if possible. You may want to reinforce the important lines and add more contrast to the areas that you want to pop out (in your moleskin). GJ otherwise, keep it up!

    This next picture was inspired by a holiday lunch I had at work Thursday...my co-workers LOVE seafood...but I don't eat it lol They had calamari there and I had a chance to try it, but I chickened out because I pulled off one of the tentacles and it was all stretchy ; A ;

    I always thought calamari was octopus...but it's squid (please clarify if that's wrong...I googled it and it said fried squid, but my co-workers say octopus ; n ; )

    First two are sketches just sketching out ideas and stuff.

    The other is the digital sketch I came up with (That word bubble isn't gonna stay I just put it there because I wanted a word bubble *^* )

    I like the way you paint faces. Especially the girls face in your “happy holiday” picture is very nicely painted and has a lot of personality. As mentioned by others I think you need to do more full body anatomy studies (preferably from life) since that area is lacking somewhat in comparison to the faces.

    @Bergulf: Thanks~ I'm hoping to do some drawings from life, but it's hectic right now and I haven't had time to go out and draw people ; n ; I also hope my college offers that life drawing class next fall since they don't offer it in the spring /baw

    @in2eternity: aww thank youu~ >///u///<

    @Talis: Thanks I appreciate it~!!

    Uhm...well I've been in a bit of a slump...I'm slowly getting out of it, but I feel as if I've gotten worse D: I'm trying to just draw and trying not to worry about what I am drawing, no matter if it's bad or good ; n ;

    I recently got introduced to Florence and the Machine. If you haven't heard of this band, Youtube them please. They are AMAZING ; A ; The first three pics are inspired by two of their songs (Rabbit Heart and Bird Song) and the last pic is just a crappy sketch of Yuugi...who looks really high xD

    (I actually have more pages of sketches...but those are so bad I wish I could burn them T_T)

    (I apologise for my horrid handwriting...it gets worse the older I get haha)
