    I like eating noodles :( -eeedward's sketchybook- Help please?

    ;//u//; Hello everyone~

    GO TO THE SECOND PAGE PLEASE AND THANK YOUU~

    Time to give some irrelevant information about myself (everyone's doing it so I may as well jump on the bandwagon). My name is Samantha, I'm 20 years old ; A ;, I work at a handbag place thing (dunno what to call it). I want to be a concept artist ; u ;

    I like using emoticons... ; u ; < that one is my favorite~

    Er...that's it xD; I'm not very interesting haha~

    Ah anyway...below are some older works ; n ; I'm working on new sketches right now...I'll post as I draw them haha~

    Thanks for viewing~!

    Mayan Creature concept (unfinished):

    Older picture...I actually still like the idea...may redo in the near future:

    Ahhh failed greyscale practice:

    A more recent sketch that I hope to turn into a finished piece. I need to fix some anatomy problems though;

    That's all for now. Thanks for looking~

    Nice sketches, your faces and drawing in general is good, anatomy looks fine just a few proportion issues like on the girl blowing bubbles, her arms are too small in relation to her head. Practice drawing some spheres and (ellipses)cylinders in perspective to improve your foreshortening.

    @Jay-Arr: Thank you! I'll most definitely work on my proportions

    Here's something I did last night. Still debating whether or not I like it. I also think there are some anatomy issues...? I should start using refs haha~ ; n ;

    I like your sketches. You draw pretty noses. :3

    Admittedly, I am not an anatomical master, but I don't see anything glaring in the kimono sketch for errors. The necks in the sketch post above though look a little smooth though.

    'Kay sorry for spamming D: I'm drawing a lot today haha~

    Did my first gesture drawings today using the gesture drawing tool on Pixelovely. I hope I'm doing these right...

    hey edward! thx for dropping by the sketchbook looks like you're off to a good start. regarding the gesture drawings, i think there really is no 'right' way to approach it. as long as you capture the whole pose quickly while trying to keep the form in mind. gestures are actually a weak spot of mine because i rarely do them so mine look like shit haha. keep it up!

    Bring on the Asians~

    @teapo: Ah thank you very much ; u ; Also thanks for clearing up the gesture drawing thing, I think I feel more comfortable doing them now that I know there isn't a 'right' way ; u ;

    Just a small update today cause I'm too lazy to scan the rest of the stuff I drew @_@ Maybe later.

    I'm gonna actually try and finish this...IT IS MY GOAL D:

    I always tend to start something and never finish it ; n ; bad bad habit...

    The first one is a five minute sketch to get the idea out...then I start cleaning it up.

    Need to:
    -Fix her face (ew)
    -Make her body longer and curvier
    -and stuff

    M'kay I'm done for tonight =_=;;;

    I cannot wait until I get Painter and my new tablet :'D EXCITEMENT~

    Does anyone know if it's possible to load Painter onto two different machines with the same disk? Like I have a Mac Desktop computer that I want to put Painter on...but I'm also gonna probably get a laptop soon. So can I have painter on both my desktop and laptop using the same disk? D:

    I should probably google this haha~

    Anyway...Happy Early/On Time Birthday Lee Onew Jinki

    Good night everyone~

    woot! good updates edward~ that face sketch is looking great and the features seem to be well proportioned throughout. i'd like to say something perspective-wise about your current WIP of the female character.. but i can't quite put my finger on it as i'm still a noob at perspective. perhaps there isn't anything wrong with it and i'm just being retarded haha xD

    not sure if you can install painter on two different machines-- i'm using photoshop :U

    anyway, keep drawing!

    @teapo: Thank you~ And I'm not good at perspective myself (I'll add that to my list of things to work on). Looking at it now it does look...odd D: I'll go back to sketching it out until it looks right haha~ Thank youu~!

    Crappy update today. Didn't draw that much cause I was at school all day =_=;

    First one was a sorta self portrait based on a photo I took of myself on my phone ; u ; I've never done a self portrait before and the only reason I did this one was because there was a creepy guy sitting next to me in the building I was in (I was all alone) and you can only pretend to text for so long haha XD; Thank gosh my friend got out early and came to sit with me ; n ;

    I don't think it really looks like me...but my friend saw it and said it looks just like me soo...err (It's not done btw lol) [also sorry it scanned weird @_@ my scanner has been acting odd]

    The second drawing was just me doing some quick sketches while I was bored waiting for my class to start D:

    Hey there! Wonderful start! I really adore your style and the way you draw faces. I agree, continue with those gestures! Maybe try more painted faces...? Just some ideas!

    Thanks for stopping by my sb! I love that toucan woman in your last post xD.
    Do lots of gesture drawings to keep your figures from getting too stiff and keep up the observational work as well.
    Looking good and imaginative, I look forward to more

    I like your gestures. They're making me think I should haul my easel out and do getures on newsprint instead of tiny sketchbook ones.

    Your most recent WIP post... Is your lady going to be wearing some sort of binding corsetry or something? I know you're working nude right now to get the body in place, I just worry about what kind of gravity is happening to make her breasts do that if they are unrestrained.

    @Dana_T: ; A ; Thank youu~

    @tulokyn: Ack! Thanks for pointing out her breasts, I forgot to fix them ; n ; Originally her arms were crossed over her chest kinda tight, but I changed her arms at the last second but not her breasts ; n ;

    Just two pages right now, done during the small break before my first class started. Just playing around with my characters face shapes/eyes. I hope to put up more gesture drawings later. Also my first moleskin came in today *^* It's so cute and tinyyyy~

    WOW great sketches! i love the gestures.
    sometimes i see minor warps in the anatomy ..in the tricky areas like between the head and collar bone (neck).
    try some more realistic faces, your ingrained style is very pleasant for the eyes and well drawn, but more cartoony if you know what i mean. nothing wrong with it at all no no! im just suggesting you try some more realistic (rounder faces and less prominent eyes)stuff i think youd be amazing at it.
    keep at it!

    @mike butkus: Thank you~

    @DecoyOctopus: Thanks~ The neck is one of my many problem areas (it's also the area that people tend to comment on the most @_@) I can never get it right. I'll have to remember to do some neck studies xD

    Triple update?! Chhhyeeeaaaa ; u ;

    Version 3 of the WIP a few posts back. I'm liking this one the best so far, it looks like what I pictured in my head. I think all those gesture drawings I've been doing have been helping~ critiques on what I have so far would be lovely~

    Welcome!
    It's all looking really good, I like the looseness of your gesture drawing and the eye studies look great. Keep up the good work.
