I got to borrow this book real quick to I scanned my favourite pages as i was flying through it. These guys are really good at what they do. Almost every time it's the commentary says "Ever since he/she was little the held a spray can."

i saw your frazetta study on last page, and wanted to share how i usually do it.
i always find it useful to see how other people work, so i hope it might help you out a bit
you have a great start on the colors in your study, but i think you should spend a lot of time on the first two steps, where you try to find the correct placement for things, it will save you a lot of time in the later steps.
drawing/construction > values > colors
which means that if you have the drawing down pat, and good values, the colors will almost automatically work
take care and keep up the good studies!

DUUUUUDE!!! INFINITE Thanks for doing this up for me, man! When I started the study I think i was too excited and didn't follow your advice of Construction > Value > Colour I will definitely try 3 times as hard to go in that order next time. My approach was pretending i was using oil paint and just slabbing it on.... as you can see... that failed. haha.good stuff in here! keep working hard!

The illustration club held a school-wide competition. The theme was mythological creatures and I chose to do a creature called NAMAZU. MATHEMATICAL!! I got selected to be exhibited along with 47 other AWESOME artists (MIDDLE photos). I also won an award for being the head of the illustration dept's favourite work for the exhibition! BRILLIANT!!
My work is at the top and end.

Wow the past 7 days have been crazy! I got featured on the school's art wall! I didn't even know!
The first is my first carved pumpkin. In America or otherwise. Pretty cool stuff. The next is my soft pastel assignment. I was super pumped by the way it turned out because I had never used pastel before. There was LOTS of trial and error.

Thanks SwedishMichelangelo! Nice typing accent by the way! haha! So below we have two minute gesture drawing from life. Some I put some grey marker tone and ink on the pencils, One I left just as pencil and some are just done in ink. I also painted some hands from imagination. ZOMBIE HANDS! The scariest. I should be messing around with paint a bit more over the break.
More to come as the day progresses! Bah-Booty!
