Try to make the face more simple. Dont initially draw the features then color it. Draw how he would look like normally, then add the bruises and etc.
The head to the left arm looks too high. I think you got the (right) arm right though

The link is right there, its ok to press. Any help/advice is appreciated.
@KateTheTerrorist: ...er, which one are you talking about mate ^^;
Update
I love this WIP, those characters are gorgeous!
Looking forward to see it finished.![]()
The drawing's coming out really nicely. There's one thing that's really bothering me, though. The cyclops guy at roughly the middle of the drawing--the one that's scratching the back of his head--the way his arm bends is sort of awkward. Maybe I'm incorrect, it just seems that way. I don't know. The proportions look a little off on it.
@MorningTea: Hey thanks dude, coming up with all the outfits and faces was really tedious lol
@Sopu: Oh gee, I hope not, I had to trace a photo of myself to get that pose right, though I'm double jointed so it might have thrown things off. But I think what you're looking for is the rest of his cape that should be hanging there, I just forgot it in the rough ^^;
From page to page I can see you are making progress ^^
I like your comic style, very clean. Would love to see that WIP finished![]()
small update
@Prototypt': Hey thanks dude, I'm glad you think so b'cause I feel like I don't some times ^^;
But yeah, I do hope to finnish it... eventually...
These are just small things I did on the side in my free time. The first is very DA-ish so I apologize for that but I was doing it to make sure the char was consistant, anime kids are incredibly difficult to give a unique look to, you are essentially summarizing a summary, since children's facial features are so undeveloped.
But yeah, so there's that XD

I like it very much!!Seeing this makes me think about going more into comic or manga. Keep going!! ;D
@Prototypt: Thanks dude, I really appreciate that. But be careful about jumping right into anime style if you don't plan on practicing a more realistic style, its the foundation of anime more or less.
I really like your characters' design.
And those updates are fun~XD
Keep it up!
^^I'm a girl, and you're welcome.@MorningTea: Hey thanks dude![]()
@Morning tea: XD I saw actually, I kinda call everyone dude, it's the most natural unisex way of addressing people so it's kinda my default
'Nother update, I need to stop adding characters before I go nuts lol
just a little doodle I did when I was bored decided to color it in![]()
Really nice coloring
I like it~
@MorningTea: Thanks mate ^^
BTW I need to fix the guy who's eyes are shut in the lower right corner's legs. They're off but I don't know what to do to fix them. Any suggestions?
I took way too long to get around to finishing this lol
I made a few mistakes on this while i was working on it but I think I've got them fixed. For some reason I have a real problem with the length on arms when I do anything odd with foreshortening.
I liked experimenting with some of the brushes in this one. I also figured out a way to do reflections.
Here's some updates on my progress as far as style goes.
Here's a new work in progress I'm doing. Sorry for being dead... its not my fault I swear...
And here's the finished version
hey dude thx for stopping by my sketchbook, btw just because i can render well doesnt mean im a whole lot better than you(to be honest i wouldnt say im better than you lol), i love your style and your stuff is awesome, I really like the mood of that last piece

@blazingdimensions Thanks mate, but shell shading is a bit easier in your defense (at least imo) but yeah I just didn't want to sound like a know it all. By the way if you are having trouble finding proper shades in color, try doing it all in b&w first then color over top of it to help with the loss of gradation in hue and such. A few people I know who use painting use that method and it seems to work pretty well for em. Thanks for the kind words by the way.
MAN ARE YOU KIDDING ME !? You became awesomely much better with your anime characters, its almost unreal ! keep it up my friend ! Sorry for not dropping by in ages havent been around CA.org that much lately.
@Partisan: XD Dang, thanks man, much appreciated. I dont know if I deserve such kind words thoughDon't worry about it though man I haven't been on in almost two months myself hehe
Speaking of improvement (totally not letting complements go to my head) here's a new piece. I really liked how it turned out compositionally speaking
'Nother piece
Man doing multiple people in one shot is a pain in the butt. (especially when im the only human reference available and two of the characters in the shot are female.)
'nother piece
