Hey Luca so much to be admired in your sketchbook and your only on page 2! I hope you manage to keep posting so I can keep enjoying your beautiful art. 5 stars from me.![]()
Velazquez
Man crazy improvement in here. The gradation in those early graphite is already quite subtle.
Hoping for more frequent updates.
Just one question, do you have an idea where you're going with your art?
My journey
“I’ve just neverbeen good at drawing _____, so I never draw ______.” This is a circular logic offailure that a person will never escape. If you wish you were better at drawing _______, draw it!
If you aren’t very good at _______, and avoid it, you’ll never getbetter at drawing _______! This attitude is setting yourself up for a lifetime of nevergetting good and enjoying _____.
this thread is very inspiring.i really like the last portrait in post 32,keep posting please.
be the change you want to see! help me improve by leaving a comment and Ill help you.

Stunning. The highest praise I can give you from my own perspective is the wish to have one of your pencil studies on my living room wall so I could live with it.

Ok I was moderately impressed by your older digital paintings and then I had amoment. Your sketches and oil paintings are phenomenal! What size and medium do you work in for you sketchbook stuff? I must know your ways! 5 stars from me.

New account for a fresh start.
Thank you![]()
I usually work in small sizes except for the caravaggio painting. The sketchbook is a handmade one with 15x22cm sheets. Talking about the medium, I'm still searching for the ideal one but by now i use 50% turpentine and 50% linseed oil.
@ChisLu: thank you![]()
It can be considered a trivial answer but I think it's the right one, the only tip I can give you is to have a lot of patience and watch and study other artist stuff. If you have a more specific question I'd be glad to answer![]()
Fantastic portraits!
finally newer stuff.
Crits are very welcome
