I was so excited to see that you had a new batch to ogle at...then I opened it and I totally flipped my bean! All of it is even more amazing than I remember but I really dig the weapon concepts and character explorations since this is something I've never seen from you.

Thanks guys, I'm really humbled by your response to this stuff...

Verithin; Yep, I was let go along with many others as Disney restructures and tries to figure out what they want to be when they grow up. =) However, freelancing is something I've been meaning to try for a long time now, I have worked full-time in studios for my entire career so far. So I'm looking forward to the new challenges coming my way.

Matt Dixon; cheers Matt....I don't think you have much to worry about =)

snatti ; my website is www.mandrykart.com and there is a link to my blog on there...lots of sketches and warmups etc....hope you enjoy!

Nickodemus; hm..no plans at the moment, but never say never. The last workshop i went to was the Seattle one and it was amazing....would love to go again.

Dan Milligan; haha - thanks Dan! I will probably be bugging you for advice. Hope you're doing well.

conte; thanks - yes I'll sometimes use a 3D package to block thing out or make my life easier....especially for weapon concepts and scenes with architectural elements it really speeds things up...and of course in production you want to try and work as fast and smart as possible. Sketchup and Maya are the packages I use the most.

armetage; I will post more when I get a chance....I have a lot of stuff that I can share very soon. thanks for stopping by, I am a fan of your work!

You and a bunch of my friends as well. When will these companies learn that TALENT is what keeps you competitive?

I'm sure you'll be fine... get your self a bookkeeper ASAP, you're going to need it and I'm sure you'll want to focus on the art and not the finances of it all. BUT, before Jan 2011 all computer hardware purchases you make are 100% tax deductible so buy yourself that dream machine!

Good luck man... too bad we won't be able to see much more work from you soon... it'll all be under NDA.
