MadisE- ah thank you! but some of the best advice ive ever get is from my 12 year old cousin who just says it how it is. if its crap or doesn't look right she'll tell me heh.

this is my daily practice- i've kind of been doing daily this since September- i draw a page from andrew loomis book and do the page 8 times over till its carved in my mind- every artists learn in different ways and i feel the best way for me is to go over and over rather then spend ages on one pic.- currently on page 97 so gonna upload as much as possible from now on.

The studies are very nice. You really nailed that old timey look. I also like the last illustration. Very expressive. Keep up the good work.

Hey. It's a good start with some really promising studies. It would be good to balance these studies from books with some life studies, it can only help to broaden your skills. Is arguably the best way to learn also. Look forward to future posts.

Very nice! I'll definitely be following this SB. I'm particularly fond of the style you've got going in the first and second images of this SB.

Great artwork! I do prefer the more painterly style in your first post instead of the smooth style of the last one. Think the last one could use some more roughness. Keep up the good work!

todays and last nights- not very good at getting the face to match the orignal but still happy with the outcome - want to do 4-5 more kids colour and drawing studies then move onto teenagers-- working my way through the andrew loomis- heads and hands book and finding colour studies to match the drawing practise..

one more for today- my computer crashed and i didn't save so lost about 3 hours of work.. well i guess i'll learn to save ore often- first time thats happened for like a year or so maybe more. and not really bothered because learnt something really important in this study!- using the villpu method is much better for me then the andrew loomis technique- well for likeness of character but both are still good..

h.k - yo thanks alot man, and really appreciate the plug of my work on your tag, means alot !!

also want to send a link to anyone thats got a mac cos this app is really worth downloading- its free - (always remember to take a break )
