BenjaminJL92- i think the best method to improve its observation. How elements works in nature, how lights and shadow works etc. And i like browse works of other artist, not only digital painters, , but most of all photographers. Its big inspiration of colors, frames and themes.

I really hardly ever watch tutorials, I have opinion that the best way to improve you can find in other stuff-watch a photos,architecture, visiting intersting places etc.

Guardian G.I. - yes, some parts of art is mattepaint, but foreground stones,rocks,woods etc were painted- hmm Im think that matte is a maybe 10%of all image-rest is painted
