Destroy your weaknesses! theres nothing more to it! stop bitching grab that pencil and sketch Away!
Hey LionheartGFX before I got comfortable rendering with colour I'd practiced a ton with just different grades of pencil and some grayscale stuff on Photoshop -always baring in mind consistent light sources, shadows etc. Once I had enough of that, I attempted to apply that thinking while working with colours. Many many fails along the way of courseOh, and one more thing; try also to keep in mind contrasting/ opposite colours to help make an image "pop" - colder for shadow, warmer for light. Hope this helps even a little, keep practicing!
For this weeks Chow character challenge - Goblin Assassin.

Wow you are amzing, keep your stuff up!
Some things from earlier this year..

Some further developments on the goblin guy.

That goblin is coming along nicely. I like how his teeth glisten oh so subtly.
Looking forward to seeing it finished and what else that pops up in here.
Awesome stuff as usual dude =], I think your sketchbook needs a few more studies now though.
That goblin looks bitchin, interesting choice of colours.
Cheers guys! Yep, it's definitely time for some studies real soon. Certainly need the practice![]()
A little bit more work here.

Good stuff Si! Keep it up man![]()
Revised version of my Chow #309: Life, thanks to Glaudarien's helpful advice. Hats off to you sir
CHoW #310: Goblin Assassin

Awesome studies man! The values on your break dancing self are a little off, the darks aren't dark enough and the floor slides off and up. I think adding textures like scratches and dinks into the floor would make it more solid looking.
Hope you dont mind dude but i did a slight paint over of your gangster portrait.

Your latest CHoWs turned out great, especially your design for Life.
Quinn Simoes - Thanks very much!
Me, Myself & Me Again - Thanks for taking the time to do the paint-over, very useful stuff. More studies are the way forward.. I might go back to doing more pencil stuff for this in future, and draw from observing life as it were (as opposed to drawing from pictures).
Another study from movie still again. Values are pretty difficult to get right.. oh well, more practice is needed.

Lovely study man, great proportions on the face. Think it needs a slightly warmer wash of brown over her neck though.
And also

Some studies after a time of inactivity...

Decided to try some creature and sci-fi stuff. Bit generic at the moment. Plenty of room for improvement etc.

A bit of a half-baked study which I've lost energy/ focus to finish. Think I'll work more on gestural sketches soon

Yes, this is in fact the worst still life of some 'nanas everReally need to improve my concentration and look more at what it is I'm drawing, since that is the point of observational studies haha

Hey guys, hope you're good. Here are some studies of baboons and some bboys, bgirls. All pretty loose and planning on using these to inform some character design I'm working on.

Playing around with poses, angles.

Yuri Boyka study wip.

Hi! Here's an update to the previous study and something new I'm working on. I'd really appreciate some critiques or pointers as to how I could develop the alien woman image.. because right now it feels a bit tentative. Cheers!
