A portrait from head. I think i learned things with this one; I thought before painting, watched some old men. I actually like him ! Tell me what you think please !

Someone can tell me how to change my first drawing ? (to see another image when scrolling in the sketchbook thread)

Hey you got some sweet work here!

I like the old man, you got some nice planes and I would shave of a bit from the brow/forehead area on the screen left side, and I would soften some of the edges, especially down under the chin, ears and screen left cheek. If you end up with too many hard edges it makes the work a bit harsh.

But still, you did a very good job! Look forward to seeing more

Hey ! Thanks you Dalibor Dejanović ! I like hard edges but you're right, they're too hard.. I hope i'll have the time to redraw them, we'll see...
(I re ask my question but does anyone knows how to change the image thread?)

Hey Kiwee, it's Larissa from the livestream chat. Awesome stuff so far, I will look forward to seeing more
The last post is great, his neck/shoulders seem a bit small though compared to the head.

Stuffs coming along fine in here, you're doing plenty of studies just be sure to be the extra time into the stuff from your head. Don't forget why you started doing the studies in the first place thanks for watching the streams and the awesome ref, was super-useful keep it up!

Your colour studies are really good - like the hair on the last one, or the hand on the previous page or the legs (sticking up) and several others.

It's also fun to see your personal pieces as your struggles kind of mirror mine (as I often have the face but then redraw/paint the body again and again ~ hate the weight to the ground from the feet and how I often have to redraw the torso as I realize that the legs will be in an horrible position and cause an awkward pose :/).

A Good SB anyway - and your journey should be fun and going places.

samC : Thanks, i do actually i lot of things from head but they're too messy to be posted here haha.. I must be more patient..

DanLiimata :thank you ! Yea you're totally right it's really difficult for me to give the impression of weight of the body, and good position, but i'm working on that ! It's hard, but i think i'm improving (slowly)!

For for now : i've done some things on this wip. I'm stuck for now but i'm too tired to think clearly so i'll continue this one another day ! I wish sleeping wasn"t so important haha i wanna draw and play music and i don't have timeeee

heeeey that last portrait is awesome! for your photo studies, just keep an eye out for saturation levels. darker colors are generally more saturated.
keep it up, youre doing great

Thanks Lancer_idenoure ! For the saturation of the colors, i'll try but it's difficult to resist to the desaturate thing ....

You can definitely see the progression already in this sb. That old man is awesome. From imagination?!

    ||as for changing your sketchbook avatar thing. It's the first attachment in your first post, so you have to edit your first post in this sketchbook. Then upload a picture of your choosing. {you might have to delete some of the pictures already there?||
