nice collection of studies! Your photo studies display a nice study of the colours, but i believe more time needs to be spent on the drawing end of things rather than the painting end.

    Keep it up man. :p

what a sketchbook! i donno where to begin! yourlines and pencil studies or your great painting skills or your character designs
i really love your still life paintings , it's really inspiring and it makes me wanna do some
also your pencil lines and your rendering skill is awesome, keep those anatomy studies up! very impressive , especially those figure painting you have done, and those character design you're doing is full of creativity.
your knowledge of form and anatomy combined with that painting skill and good observation and your creative mind will lead you to a professional concept artist keep it up

A lot of studies, good! Arms from the mind are looking nice, but there's something off with your head construction. Not quite sure what but might be the jaw line start from too far back, or the back of the head not being big enough.

Stay on course! Try to form concepts that you can easily remember, it'll help a ton when working from the mind.

Anatomy studies are paying off, things are moving along. The Teen Challenge WIP looks nice, could add some other sealife and hints of the bottom of the sea. Rocks and coral and such, will make a nice painting.

Good job again, keep working hard!

Lovely colors on the red head, pose is a little stiff imo... I think i have the same exact problem; i have no idea wat to do with the feet to make it cool and balanced.
The sea creature looks amazing, maybe add a few more to give even more depth and make it look like a cool big group of watever it is? Lol
Cant wait to see wat you got cookin next!

just something about that big guy you painted bothering me is that it seems to me the direction of his body's upper half doesn't mach the direction of his lower half which include the legs and feet, maybe it's just me
    keep working!

Good job on the painted figure, especially for an hour's work.

I don't think you should give up on game modeling yet. See what you can do with it. Have you ever heard of Montyoum? He does some crazy cool modeling and animation stuff. You can check his stuff out on his deviant account or his youtube page. Maybe game modeling doesn't sound as much fun but, I gotta admit there's some really nice things you can do with it.

The portait is very good. Could use more details if you wanted to push it, but the base is very nice, and the expression works. Good proportions.

The painted character is nicely in perspective. Try some more complicated poses and keep the perspective?

Figure studies are coming along. Proportions are quite good, but the muscles need more work. Add a bit of shading to show form on your figures, or cross contours. The lines of understanding that run on the form might feel a little obvious sometimes, but I think it makes it easier to understand the forms. Like seeing an object and actually touching it, feeling around the forms.

The light&shadow figure study is very nice! Proportions and all! Keep it up!

Good arm studies! Have you studied how the muscles of the forearm move when the wrist turns? It's quite easy to understand when you know on which side of the wrist the muscles attach to.

cool bridgman studies! and lots of it! @_@
I love the way you draw figures, nice style, especially that 1 hour study figure which you shaded
and that portrait painting is great, I guess drawing that expression was kinda tricky

kitfox Read a bit out them but i need to go back to it yeah, i think it'll help alot!
    Not_Deadman lol thanks
Miss.BonBon Cheers. In regards to the portrait its always daunting to paint something like that, for example the lips dont look like the lips we see everyday or the image we get in out mind if we thought about it. The thing to do is forget what the object is and think of it as a simple geometric shape.

Back from a holiday. Haven't drawn in about 12 days D: Feels awesome getting back to my tablet though haha this was just the break i needed and was waking me yearn to draw

Maybe 3ish hours but it only felt like 30 mins. Time travel.

A very nice portrait! Way to get back from a vacation. Form is defined very well and the expression looks natural. The subtle color changes look very sleek. What more can I say? As far as technique goes, good job. Could've pushed the hair a bit more and cleaned up the edges.

kitfox cheers i see what you mean about the hair, i think there was more contrast in the .psd but it could have done with a little more care anyways.

Did a page of pencils but ill scan it tomorrow when i do more...

Started an illustration, duno what to-do now but continue rendering, i duno if that will make it better though D:

Rendering the illustration probably won't help much. Seems like it suffers from too many random elements and a bad composition. Going back to the thumbnail stage and really planning out the whole thing would be the most useful thing to do. Though, I don't know that much about the process yet. That's what I'd do anyway.

The multi-limb figures are pretty good proportion wise, but could use a bit longer neck and legs. Since they're females, keep the ridcage slimmer and the hips a little wider to make them more feminine. Another thing that'll help is to keep the contours very subtle. With male figures you can exaggerate and bring out the muscles in the contours but with females you really can't do much without making them too bulky. I like the simple value style you put on them, seems to work nicely for a quick sketch.

The colours on the quick cloud appear a bit dark for such a clear sky.

I agree with kit, you should reconsider the composition, my biggest problem with the painting is the angle... maybe make it a worm's eye view with the lumberjack looking at this giant, or maybe a helicopter shot of the giant looking down on the woods and the lumberjack.
http://www.leavemethewhite.com/index2.html Study some compositional stuff from this site... it's got tons of good movie screenshots!
And for the figure drawings, I agree with kit again, make their necks a bit longer and fix the ribcage/hips proportions. Also, I think you can make their ankles more slender and rounder?

As kitfox and not deadman mentioned, you could use a better composition for your illustration to make it more interesting. Also the guy's pose should be stressed and ready for a fight, to show the tension

the multi-limb figure looks good to me, though the legs are a little short, but other things look ok to me. In general women hips are wider than their shoulders but I don't think every drawing should follow that rule exactly, some times our female characters have some manly attributes and we don't want them to look so girlish that's just my opinion

I love the landscape, love your use of the brushes expressionistically

and last but not least great portrait in post #144, love it
